Deputy Chief of MUP Traffic Police Vladimir Rebić says traffic accidents have decreased by 40 percent since the implementation of new traffic safety laws.

There are two main issues I have with the law.
1. It does not enforce zero alcohol policy (i.e. maximum allowed 0.00)
2. It does not prohibit the use of cell phones while driving. "Handsfree" means nothing -- you have to be mentally present behind the wheel. If you really need to make a call, pull into a parking lot or pull over by the side of the road and make your calls.
