So you propose that a Jasenovac Memorial must be replaced with a common memorial, so that no side feels offended? Maybe a Dresden memorial right besides Yadvashem (the holocaust memorial) in Israel? All of that were crimes, no doubt.
(John, 16 March 2010 14:57)

Jasenovac is a memorial dedicated to the Serbs, Jews, Gypsies, Croats etc who all died and suffered there, it is noted that the Serbs suffered the most perhaps you believe it is not a common memorial for that fact?
Srebrenica two peoples suffered that is irrefutable but an inquiry into what happend should be undertaken, for the simple fact to uncover the dirty politics that lead to all the Srebrenica events.

If this isn't an action reconciliation then I don't know what is. The statement above shows action towards healing wounds ladies and gentlemen. AGAIN I WILL SAY; either ALL sides condemn the attrocites or NO ONE. PERIOD-- LET'S MOVE ON ALREADY!!!

Jan:

How is condemning all crimes instead of crimes from just one side "2 wrongs"? Does that make it one wrong to condemn crimes commited in Srebrenica only as you seem to insinuate? Please explain because I really don't understand how you reason. Or could it be that you (again) saw an opertunity to bad mouth serbs and immediately took it without really reflecting on what you were commenting on? Perhaps I've just mis-understood what you meant? Perhaps you know something that I don't which explains why you feel it is wrong to condemn crimes?

Looking forward to you explaining what you meant.

To Jan Anderson:

Your argument is false, and your scientific analogy is a poor attempt at legerdemain.

Yes, war atrocities must be punished and resolved whoever committed them. But emphasizing those carried by one side and attempting to suppress those of the other side merely leads to animosity and plants the seeds for future conflicts. This happened after the unfair Versailles Treaty of 1919 that led to the rise of Hitler.

During the Bosnian war British soldiers discovered some of the worst atrocities anyone had ever seen in that conflict – the murder and burning of Muslim women and children by Croatian troops in the village of Ahmici. But because no Serbs were involved, the news was broadcast once and then dropped. Even the Hague trial of the Ahmici slaughter was barely given much airing in the media, and I understand that the sentencing was not particularly severe compared to what Serbs get.

Western interests in the Balkans need a bad guy, and that means demonizing Serbs. As long as that is true, then your argument is not only without legs but also, given how many people in the West think like you, potentially very dangerous.

We should be condemning all crimes against humanity and not just in the Balkans. However, if we are to also include a Srebrenica resolution then I am for an official but independent inquiry consisting of both Bosnian and Serb specialist to provide irrefutable evidence rather than continue to have people making claims one way or the other.

Condem all crimes!
Sorry, but this won't happen. To enslave Serbia and the Serbian people our neighbours need to pretend that only Serbs are guilty. Croatia, Albania and muslim Bosnjaks are all treating their warcriminals as heroes. Serbia is the only country who is dealing with its own warcriminals. Albanian, croatian and muslim warcriminals are saying they are freedom fighters and therefor had the right to kill innocent Serb women and children. Serbia should show no understanding and no mercy for any of its neighbours until they arrest those thousands of warcriminals they treat as heroes and until they give back land that has always belonged to Serbs. Also Croatia, the Bosnian- Croat federation, and the albanians should appologize for warcrimes and the murder of millions of Serbs during WW2.

Quote: "He added that in this phase, RS cannot support resolution which would unilaterally condemn only one crime."

So it is "2 wrongs makes 1 acceptable"?

It is good that science doesn't work that way. Imagine if one couldn't determine the speed of sound without also determining the sound of light at the same time.

One thing should not preclude the other.
