This shows Serbia's and Russia's weaknesses of their arguments, because Russia is showing that its policy towards Kosovo are based on its own political interest regardless of Serbia's.

I've been saying it for years to the Serb Camp that you have been duped but I didn't know it would be this early in the game.

If Serbia joins NATO, you can bet that 6 months later Kosovo would join as the 193 UN member State, S. Ossetia the 194th, I'm not so sure about Abkhazia.

Its Funny how Serbs from Diaspora speak about Serbia and they dont want Serbia to Join EU.

As for America yes they do protect Americas interest its natural but I dont see Serbia out of EU as good for Serbia.

And please dont compare Serbia to UK or Irland it does not have the same situation.

Peggy! It is your right as Serbia to claim to a Serbian newspaper why Albanians are allowd to discuss here. It is up to B92. I think is good for you and your diaspora friends, otherwise the forum would be a bit boring

As for leaving Serbs in Serbia fall, because they might decide to join NATO or similar, I hope you are alone with your anger. True patriots like you should support Serbia in good and bad times.

Yes, America, might exploit Albanians. But is their choice from they would like to be exploited. I am not sure that all Serbs would like to be exploited by Russians. At least USA and Australia are a better democracies than Russia. If not, why you do not leave there.

Excellent question, Peggy. It would seem that Team Albania truly believes that America loves them and they are more special than any other nation. More special than the 65,000 Sri Lankan dead in the 20+ year civil war. More special than the Kurds who have been victims of a scale 100 times of that of Albanians. More special than the Christians in Sudan. Yes, it must be that Albanians and Americans are best friends.

I have tremendous respect for the people of Kosovo, but I would really like to know what it is about Kosovo that makes you think there is something there for the US to exploit.
If you think it is the mineral rights, you are sadly mistaken, the US govt have no state run companies to profit from.
Strategic military location?? Camp Bondsteel houses 1400 soldiers and does not even have a runway.
If the US was in this for personal gain they would have sided with Serbia.

And of course the US is helping the Albanians because of their great love of freedom and democracy – NATO killed 10,000 Albanians in Kosovo in 1999. Next time give it a little thought before posting.
Even blind Freddy knows that the Russians stopped NATO expanding in Georgia and Ukraine and now it’s time to cement that strategy in the Balkans. I would rather give the Russians every help because they did not bomb my people, but you Albanians seem to be different. I suppose a couple of thousand here or there is worth the sacrifice.

Now lets consider the choice Russia has given us. Do we work towards keeping our province, the heart of our faith, in a way that is acceptable - though peaceful negotiations. It is Russia who continues to support negotiations and an agreement acceptable to all.

Hmm, now is that a difficult choice? Do we need a referendum on that? I thank Russia for making the choice so clear.

The only reason for the bombing and subsequent annexation of KosovO from Serbia was aimed at RUssia. NATO knows it is not going so well. Its more in NATO's interest for Serbia to join NATO than it is in Serbia's interest. Furthermore, I totally agree with the Russians clearly stating their position. The Serbs need to choose who thier friends will be: NATO who bombed them and than dismembered them or Russia who couldn't back us in 99 but would back us right down to Kacanik now. The only problem is the "government" in Belgrade. Remember my K-Alb friends the Russians can support the Serbs for a minimum of cost whilst the Yanks have to twist countries arms, be stationed in Kosovo and send pathetic diplomats telling Pristina everything is fine. WHo do yu think will win? Its up to the Serbian people who will win.

Curious as to what you think these interests are. If you are truly an American IPO you have been to Camp Bondsteel (unless you came after PX privileges were revoked) if you have you know that this was not meant as a permanent base.
Anything else they can get from Kosovo they could have gotten a lot easier a few hundred miles in any direction.

Jason believe me we're not fooled into believing that America has love for us. We're a small nation that has always been trampled on by the greater powers and the U.S. has always dealt with us more than fairly unlike our neighbors or the major European powers.
