PS - I can count the number of "Kosovar" residents of the north on one hand and still have a few fingers left over.

This is all about bringing Mitrovica under control of Pristina, not to create a "municipality to serve the people". My countryman Peter Feith is delusional. This plan is already criticised by other European countries.
The ICO has no authority in the first place. How are they going to impose this when no one shows up?

They are called Serbs and they are residents of The Republic of Serbia plus they will NEVER be part of "Kosova" and ALWAYS be part of Serbia and Kosovo. The West is getting extremely desperate to have their failed project not to loose even more face.

-- Very true. It's relatively easy for one to speak about taking (back) land and actually believing it could be done if one factors out the sentiment of 90 - 95% of the population that lives there.

So when Albanians (rightly) chide Serbs and pro-Serbs about holding on to all of Kosovo while overlooking what the Albanian people want/don't want, perhaps these people might want to realize they are practicing the same oversight when laying claim to Serb enclaves of Kosovo. If it's foolish to think that Belgrade can retake Pristina, it's equally foolish to think Pristina can take KM, Gracanica, or even Strpce.

When are you Albanians going to learn? Feith et al are jerking your chains. There is only one way of “integrating” the North and that is by using force, but that is something they will NEVER use for fear of creating a conflict that could very easily run out of control and they do not have the arms, resources or money.
I constantly mention of the stupidity and incompetence of western politicians and Fieth is a good example- I should explain, a stupid politician appoints an ever dumber administrator otherwise a smart one would out shine the boss. The EU want to appear to do something, but they have no money so they will try and send a couple of people up there to “show the Serbs the loveliness of freedom and democracy” to see the error of their ways and surrender to superior authority – this sounds like a bad script from a D grade movie, but that is how these people think.
There is a great dissatisfaction amongst the Albanians in Kosovo about the entire situation; no jobs and no prospects for the young – why are the young people leaving Kosovo in droves; there are now parts of Kosovo, occupied by Albanians, completely deserted with a few old people living in villages where in the 1990s you had several hundred families living there.
This is the EU’s last hurrah and it’s on the cheap. The easiest way of getting rid of Feith and Co is burn a couple of their cars and they are gone.

Kosova has very little power in Ahtisaari munis. As for not having the same laws and dogana everywhere that's a non-starter obviously. You can't have villages with different laws or totally immune to the law.

At the present Serbia does not need them because they are using the ways of freedom and democracy – peaceful and the great thing about this it costs nothing and has the west in a check mate position. Also, I hate to disappoint you NATO does not have the resources either; why do you think the force is being reduced in Kosovo? It’s called budget cuts and if you want more details please let me know I have tones of information; real stuff not western media junk – all you see now is for show or what you call propaganda.
All Serbia has to do is wait and see the west run out of money and that should not take too long – I have said it so many times but here it is again 2010 is bringing tremendous changes so very happy ones and some not so happy. Unfortunately Michael the US falls in the latter and not the former category.
Let me repeat what I have been saying for the thousandth time; this is not 1999 when poor old Boris was held captive by a bankrupt country and the US had Strobe Talbot in Moscow making sure during the bombing of Serbia that Russia did not stray.
If this is not enough for you, have a look at your glorious NATO forces in Afghanistan being thrashed by cave-dwelling people. If there is going to be a ruckus in Kosovo or Bosnia then this time Serbs will not be fighting empty handed – ask Vlad Putin. Oh, I forgot to mention that the US is in the process of being brought to its knees by the Chinese. This is no joke lady; this is real. The Chinese are furious at the US and have waited long time for this to happen – remember Copenhagen when the Chinese made outright fools of the US, including the leader of the “Free World”.
