KFOR, have formally decreased its size to 10,000 soldiers. Serbia Defence Ministry announced just yesterday it was reducing its Army to around 10,000 soldiers how coincidental can that be go figure.

Lenard, Serbia currently has 3 million citizens fit for military service with the majority having served the army while 50,000 are currently active. You can't just wipe out our capability overnight.

Remember, these type of policies can change as quickly as a new government. I wouldn't be holding my breath if I was you.

Personally I think that Serbia is getting ready to join NATO with out letting its citizens know in the not to far distance. It is doing all the reforms in line with NATO standards. Suddenly how fortunate and coincidental far thinking for Serbia that it all meshes perfectly to join NATO. Go figure those crafty Serb politicians what will poor Putin say. I know their is some descriptiveness in the gas bill how much Serbia should be paying how unfortunate in the middle of winter it always happens. How can we rectify that unexplained problem it so often happens to Kremlin hostage "friends".

It is excellent to hear that KFOR is coordinating with Kosovo army, so that the latter fills the gap by increasing the number of new recruits to 5000.

PRN, the difference between the UCK terrorists and this so-called Kosovo "army" is the former was armed. NATO and the armed terrorists couldn't defeat our army so what are these goons going to do?

Best that you follow the path to peace and prosperity rather than death and destruction.

But I thought there was no stability and security under Prishtina's authority? Is Jason-UNMIK lying to us or is it NATO, hmm a tricky one?
(Pejoni, 1 February 2010 17:30)

Stability in the north under Pristina's authority? Says who? It would be a war, and one the Serbs have every right to wage. Personally, I would flat out refuse to engage in any activity that undermines Serbian institutions up there. Then again, I have my own principles...

Oh, and its EULEX I work for. Please try and pay attention.

Naturally this is the only way to restore peace and stability in Kosovo and the region

I think that they decreased the troops because half of the serbian population left after the visa liberation came in to effect. The more Serbs leave Kosovo, the less troops are needed. Great job EU. Visa liberalization for Serbs was the best solution for Kosovo.

I guess there are no minorities left to protect.
Unless KFOR want to bring those soldiers back they should keep Pristina as far away as possible.

Great news! Soon there will only be 5000 and then zero. It's interesting how a group of cavemen in Afghanistan are kicking NATO's backside.

The security situation in Kosovo is still very delicate so NATO's decision is one out of necessity, not will. It is no wonder they are desperate to get Serbia into this immoral organisation.

Unless they are prepared to negotiate lasting peace and prosperity, Kosovo will be another defeat for this western alliance.

Kosova-USA, WHAT????
Either your comment was censured to the extent that it makes no sense or it did not make any sense to start with.

Could you please re-phrase it so it makes sense otherwise there will be a bombardment of silly comments to your confusing sentence?

Things are improving in Kosovo something this decrease indicate. Kosovo was and is becoming a success story of NATO and USA. Almost 11 years after the war, NATO, USA and EU should be proud of achieving lasting peace in Kosovo. Of course some problems remain but the over all picture is very positive especially compared to other ongoing NATO operations in the world.
