While Jasenovac stands as a testament to genocide in Croatia; though it was TITO, who didn't properly conduct a truth and reconcilliation program after WW2. Sadly, the architects of the AVNOJ, also drew lines in the sand with Croatia's boundary, neglecting the Serb majority regions, which should have been given autonomous status. One good point though at the time, they did consider Croats and Serbs as constituet peoples, both equal in SFRJ. Though Tudjman and his leadership erased that vestige out prior to seceeding, information most people failed to realize. Some bits of information, as to elements of what helped percipitate the carnage there. The outcome, post '95, Croatia is still at least 400,000 plus Serbs less, now being roughly 5-6% of the population there.

Serbia will not succeed. Croatia was invaded within/inside it's borders. Croatia liberated & defended its territory....People seem to forget that the Krajina Serb Forces were firing rockets on Zagreb & killing innocent citizens/people while the Croatian Army was no were near Krajina region (Knin)...Of course Croatia had the right to defend their country their territory!
Mr K---- What is your point, this happened from both sides. This is exactly the product of war; to destroy something beautiful... in this case Yugoslavia

The few Serbian rockets were fired in response to the Croatian army attacking and ethnically cleansing the Croatian Serb population - and they worked like a charm and got the quickly scared Croats to back off.

Compared to how much and severe Croats shelled Knin - including many civilian deaths and infrastructure destruction - the shelling of Zagreb was so mild. And then compared to NATO bombing of Serbia it was extremely mild.

And there are records of Tudjman and the Croatian government planning the ethnic cleansing and extermination of Serbs.

Plus census results DO tell the story of which group was genocided.

Noting the comments about this by seemingly insignificant officals in key EU countryies will be worthwhile. Brussels may even want Serbia and Croatia to vent their in fury in full before EU assession. Who wouldn't dread the possibility of continuing rancour at every EU meeting (Lord only knows what the tone would be like should Turkey join too). maybe this is more useful than continuing to make Mladic the key component (cf China and the human rights issue which gets routinely aired but everything else happens in parralel to this intractible issue.)
