"Eyes on the prize. Don't just read news, analyze it. Notice he said "Aghanistation" not "Americanization". The United States of America is changing it's tactics and ground is being made. Slowly, but surely.

Well, I should think that the Yankees ought to change their tactics. But fast, not slowly. The best tactic would be to get the hell out of Afghanistan -- their body bags returning from Kabul is only going to increase further -- all of America's fire power has now obviously been shown to be as futile in Afghanistan as they were back in Vietnam. If Obama wants a second term, he had better take heed.

The end game is in sight in Afganistan.

What we've seen in the past weeks is the british withdrawing their support from Karzai, because they suddenly realised karzai
was corrupt, and also the US ambassador in Kabul calling on Obama not to send any extra troops to Afganistan as it is a lost cause.

Brown has failed miserably in
persuading the british public
that the war in Afganistan will make the british cities ans streets safer.

It seems the British public are a lot smarter and they couldn't visualise Brown's illusions of the Taleban blockading British ports (without a navy), turning all of Britain into a "no fly zone", and pincering up the Thames.
