Serbian, Montenegrin police arrest 14 car thieves

It is amazing how easy is not to have a car in BELGRADE, especially if you have foreign plates. This is happened everywhere of course, but here in Serbia the police is hand-in-hand with the thefts more than everywhere(maybe Bulgaria). The number of stolen cars in Serbia is few thousands/year and the number of founded cars are less than 2%, except cases when you will pay for your own car to the mafia. So, dear ones which you are traveling trough Serbia be aware!

Well car thieves can be found everywhere.You can find them among albanians,serbs,hungarians,russians,brazilians and others.Basketball,tennjis,soccer is also played almost everywhere and people deal with mathematics in most countries.However while serbs and brazilians are rather known for their ballplayers,hungarians for their mathematicians,russian for the ice hockey players albanians are mainly assosiated with narco business and car thefts and by no means with any other activity.The key world is proportion namly what percentage of population is involved with crimes in this case .I know of course that besides not having sense of ball albanians lack the sense of proportions as well so some things are difficult to understand for them.So while there is definatelly a certain percantage of stolen cars on roads of many countries in Albania it is hard to find a car which is not a stolen one.Once more:proportions matter a lot.

I just woke up yesterday and had to face the really tough situation of finding another car parked on the spot where mine was. Mine was stolen offcourse and although I followed all the procedures filling in a complaint in the police, it seems like this issue is just a normal day by day one, as everyone that I spoke about this didn't even seemed surprised. "oh foreign licence plates? A VW Passat everyone likes those cars here.".
I don't want to say that the country that I come does not have this situation. Yes we do but we are doing something about it and people get arrested and cars get back to their rightfull owners. But unfortunately Serbia is known for this, it's like one of the Serbian features, and it really does not help saying that the guilt is from people from surrounding countries. My car I am sure is dismantled allready and someone will buy the spare parts and this will be sold and somebody will buy it.
This is not normal, nowhere and if someone is allready sed to this reallity then something is really wrong with them. Tackle this problem, as well as others and you will see that Serbs will e looked at in a different way.
