Good Job!

Hope you go as far as possible! It usually there is always a surprising Balkan team in World Cup tournaments, perhaps is Serbia's turn this time.

"Serbia will probably have a difficult group at the World Cup. Serbia will not get past the group stage in South Africa.

don´t you all agree, Mircea has very likely been very happy for Serbia and the serbian national team, right?

@Mircea: you can reckon up one´s character by reading his comments. this says a lot about the person, wouldn´t you agree, too?

back to soccer:

Congrats! Hope to see Serbia (as well as any other east-european country) going as further as possible in the tournament.
Oh! and thanks for the cold shower, last night's result is waaaay better for us than a lousy draw for example. Definetly, in the group, Serbia played the best football this time.

PS Mircea, stop spamming!

mircea,
you're likely correct, but alas it was on the backs of your squad that you lash out with petty verbal jabs. it was a surprising defeat (score more than result), but few of my romanian collegues thought that it was going to be any different.
few ever expect any of the mid and small nation teams to go very far at the tournament. it is a fantastic surprise for the whole world when teams such as bulgaria or greece or camaroon or s korea go deep. it is expected that brazil, germany, holland spain, england, argentina, italy, france make it to the last 8.
we'll all have to wait and see, and at least the serbian boys get to walk onto that stage with heads held high, and regardless of their performance they should walk away with their head held high.

Slava Srbiji!

I'm very glad that in serbian football and basketball leagues - one of the strongest in Balkan Peninsula play KiM footbal and basketball clubs, e.g. FK Partizan Kosovska Mitrovica, FK Mokra Gora Zubin Potok, FK Ibar Leposavić, FK Brezovica (from Štrpce) etc.

Oh, by the way! Does anyone know how all our neighbours did? Ha ha ha! Great day to be Serb! Djokovic just won against Croatias Cilic in the Shanghai ATP final! 6-2, 7-6. Double dissapointment for Croatia! Must hurt to see big brother Serbia succeed!
Congratulations Serbia on all the great athletes!

Hope Bosnia also goes to the World Championships in South Africa!

After watching the snoozefest that was the Ireland - Italy game in Croke Park, I hopped on the train home, grabbed a few cans of Stella out of the fridge, flicked on Eurosport for the highlights of the Serbia match. One word for that performance, fantastic.

Montenegro game on Wednesday. Doesnt matter as we are in the playoffs.
