"KEK imo is being a bit vindictive."

You may very well be right on that, but that doesn't make it the correct avenue to take. KEK is supposed to be a service, not a group of seljaci using their inflated positions of power to make themselves feel superior. All the more reason for those Serb "'leaders'" as you refer to them (they're far more effective to their Serb consituents than any of the sock puppets from Pristina I might add) to be given the ability to take local matters into their own hands.

"I've tried to stay out of this topic until something definitive happens, but it doesn't really seem that KEK is interested in doing anything definitive."

KEK imo is being a bit vindictive. Those Serbian "leaders" have broken so many agreements and caused so much trouble that KEK is taking its sweet time.

I've tried to stay out of this topic until something definitive happens, but it doesn't really seem that KEK is interested in doing anything definitive. In their indirect defense however, they appear to be like every other power and utility company I know: they'll get around to YOUR problem when THEY feel like it. These guys would make excellent cable TV repairmen in my country.

But in reality, there's little the Serbs can do at this point beyond purchase generators. Even if there's an EPS building in Strpce, if the entire area is now on the KEK grid the administration building they want to keep won't be worth more than the building itself. Unless EPS finds a way to extend its grid to Strpce, or the Serbs of Strpce find alternative ways for energy, KEK has a monopoly over them. And this is no different fron dozens of other places in the US where people are forced to pay for the services of the one and only company, no matter how shoddy their customer service is.

Congratulations for once reading 1 thing from non-Serb media and then abusing that fact.

Ms. Xharra showed an extreme case, get over it.

There is a FUNDAMENTAL difference between having a debt of 5,000 and not paying for decades owing in the hundreds of MILLIONS of EUR.
What is it 200,000,000 EUR ??

Kosovo-USA, it will be far cheaper to buy a generator and produce their own electricity than to pay any supposed debt. You can only dream my friend.

Tell me why so-called politicians in Kosovo can have electricity debts amounting to €5000 each and get away with it?

The temporary institutions should be concentrating on building bridges and not destroying them otherwise what hope is there of provincial prosperity? It seems like a bunch of children are running the show while the "internationals" are simply hopeless.

> By the way, electricity will be restored once they meet KEK demands for very minimum payments to beging with, and then slowly but surely they have to pay the old debt.

Seems that written agreements are only so much paper to you. Much like that constitution of yours 'enshrining the rights of minorities to a degree not seen anywhere else in Europe'.

But keep up the comments.. gives others an opportunity to see just what kinds of intolerant attitudes the serbs in Kosovo have to deal with on a day-to-day basis.

The way I see it , the structures elected during Serbian elections are out of the picture. They have not been able to keep their promisess to their fellow K-Serbs.Slowly but surarely, they becoming non-existent. I wonder if Belgarde is still going to pay them hafty salaries for not being able to do anything on behalf of Belgrade???
I plead with K-Serbs to look for a bright future towards Prishtina.
By the way, electricity will be restored once they meet KEK demands for very minimum payments to beging with, and then slowly but surely they have to pay the old debt.
There is no freebies anywhere in the world.
