Pz,

Well i'm not a socialist, i've voted for Berisha in 2005 and before, but i think Edi Rama can do a better work for our country and actually i'm very tired of all the lies of Berisha. Anyway Berisha is more communist than Rama, i believe you agree with me on this? And i'm afraid that the international standarts of these election are not met completly but let's be optimistic.
For me Albania comes first..

Tirona republic,
Don’t forget that Socialist party is direct heir of the ex. Communist party. So, it is not correct to judge
someone simply because he lived under communism, because if we do that than no one in Albania really
deserves wining these elections (with exception maybe Mr. Veliaj who is young ). During the communism ‘everyone’ was a communist, because they lived under that system and had no other choice whatsoever. Berisha was one of the key players in giving an end to communism, what gave Albania and its people a new beginning.

We should judge Mr. Berisha and others by their deeds and their role in the developments that took place during these 20 years. Two main questions to think of before voting should have been something like: What did Berisha and his government do to improve the living conditions of ordinary Albanian during the past four years; and what is his party’s program for the next four years.

In my opinion, he and his government have done great work during these four years, and based on this four years’ work will people judge him. The polling results are still not final, and we can maybe speculate if we say that he will be leading the government for another four years, (even though two or three exit polls give almost identical results with Berisha leading), but if he wins, he will be wining for what he did during the last four years.
If there was any issue on which political parties in Albanian ever had any consensus, it was surely when it was about Kosovo, so for that people in Kosovo will always be thankful.

"Berisha means 4 more years with ever closer relations between Kosovo and Albania"

Whatever. That's the business of the people in Albania who they want to elect. But wasn't Berisha the guy who, just as he was being overthrown for organising the biggest pyramid schemes in the Balkans, slandered the emerging KLA as "Arkan's men." And wasn't it the SP in power during the catastrophe of 1999 that sheltered half a million Kosovar refugees and directly aided the KLA's campaign as far as it was possible at the time?

Well is not correct to support Berisha just because he is supposed to be more close to Kosovo. We in Albania need new politicians Berisha is old and is a former COMMUNIST. And anyway in Albania we are not that egoist like some of you in Kosovo seems to be. One thing is sure Kosovo will have always our support, but please you have to understand that Albania need to move forward and support it. Afterall our progress is good for you. So... Support the Change..

Anyways, the important aspect to note is that the elsections were calm and by EU imposed standarts. The road to candidate status is now open.

No matter who wins the election, it makes no difference when it comes to Kosova relation with Albania. We are blood brothers and no politician can change that.
