I've seen that cardboard city (slums) by Gazela bridge. It is about time the city takes matters into its own hands to deal with that problem. It's like having a third world settlment in the middle of a industrialized city. Plus that location is a prime location for investing in hotels, resturants and so on, right by the river. Cleaning it up and restructing it will definitely help the image of Beograd. Plus the investment the city is ready to make in favor of the Roma's by building them new housing units and health care facilities is definitely more than any other country in the world would do for their Gypsies. I'm all for it.
Helping the Roma community and at the same time investing and cleaning up the most filthiest part of Beograd....BRAVO

Sad, sad, but understandable.

Asking our Chief Crusader of Fight Against Discrimination (Robert-O):

Q (me): "Is ethnic discrimination a good thing?"
A (R.): "Of course, it is baaaaaad!"

Q (me): would you agree, the poor Roms will settle all over your neighborhood and as the result the value of your home decreases the way, it's mortgage will become overnight "upside down mortgage"?

A (R.): ?????

So this is precisely like that. Vlahs fear (not baselessly!), the value of their property will collapse. So what to do? The good answer is immoral, the morally correct answer is financial suicide.
