Tomislav Nikolić says that that he is forming a new political party – the Serb Progressive Party (SNS).

He also said that the SNS will be "a bridge between East and West, with the goal to, in the future, form a union with the Republic of Srpska".
Sounds like a long way off yet, but I like forward thinking. There is always a way to make a deal and uniting RS with Serbia is a great idea.
If I lived in Serbia he would have my vote.

Miri, when did you decide that you care about the Serbian tax payer? Further to deep concern, how is recognizing as legitimate the partition of our state in the interest of the Serbian tax payer?
For you to expect Serbs NOT to oppose the UDI would be as silly as the Serbs expecting you to denounce the UDI.

Oh no, another bunch of people that will claim they can keep Kosova as part of Serbia, while clearing a fat check every month from taxpayers.

Nikolic always was more of a populist than a nationalist, so this move, plus the name of his new party, completely makes sense. It's going to be interesting in seeing how many SRS, DSS-NS voters go over to him. I think it's pretty safe to say that the SRS is now destined to return to the fringe Far Right as it was under Seselj in the 1990s.
