The situation in Serbia is far better than Bulgaria and Romania my Greek friend. This representative however fails to understand that those two mentioned nations receive free cash in the billions now that they are EU members... well at least they did until their own corruption got the better of them in Bulgaria's case. World Bank loads are exactly that loads and have to be repaid with interest, and considering its the World Bank thats not good. Serbia was one of the only countries recently to be completely debt free from both the World Bank and IMF, a title we should have held... In any case finish the bloody thing and be done with it, no government should waste this much time and talk over a silly highway. This is getting annoying, I'm hearing "corridor 10" in my sleep now.

Greek,

Based on what you are saying, the money should go to Bulgaria and Romania since they seem to need it more so than Serbia.

I don't really know what "roads" both Bulgaria and Romania are preparing now but the current situation of their road network is still.... 40 years behind.

I have visited both the two countries just some time ago and I have to tell you that closed highways actually... don't exist!

There is a small highway part just some ten's of kilometers outside Sofia and.. that's it. Everything else... total chaos! No highway anywhere - just small roads in a shameful condition.

I have never visited Serbia but friends of mine that have visited the country (and Bulgaria and Romania also) tell me that the situation is at least better than Bulgaria and Romania.

I hope they get it too, but Serbs need to stop acting as if they special. Their economy is in deep, deep trouble and needs help, like all nations do at some point.

Well, I hope they get the money.

On a side note... I remember one of the Serb posters here, disparaging Albania for having to borrow money to build its roads...
