Budapest doubles as Belgrade on CNN

Now, after this the one must wonder about the credibility of CNN news. The Serbs figured it out long time ago CNN’s credibility but what about the others?

I think that Serbia should press the charges against this TV, since all the reports from Serbia are faked, incompetent, biased. Otherwise, if not doing so, this TV will continue with lies and this case will be just swept under the carpet. The aim of these so called journalists when reporting from Serbia is to present the situation as worst the better. I wouldn’t be surprised if they reported as civil war in the streets of Belgrade.

Aren’t they ashamed of their own dilettantism?

This is embarrasing for CNN and what is even worse is that they did the same thing during the Kosovo war without anybody questioning them. At least now they are exposed.

1) The beginning is clearly Budapest. The voices in the background are Hungarian. The car you see between 0:14 and 0:18 has Hungarian licence plate (you see the country sign "H" pretty clearly on the left part of the plate. The place of the action seem to be close to Oktogon place, on Andrássi út.

2) After 0:18 there is a switch, we see Serbian riot police, the location is clearly different.

3) At 1:10 this is clearly the station of "Földalatti" underground line. The oldest in Europe. The location is just opposite the Russian embassy in Budapest.

CNN = See En En = "Советские Независимые Новости" (Soviet Independent News). :-P

Please tell us again, how after looking at some CNN footage in 1999 you found yourself firmly on Albanian site. I remember, the CNN footage of a funeral of killed muslim children including Orthodox service was once discussed here, but now this is a "fresh" footage.

Oh my god! How can sensationalism replace what really happened? I can't see how anyone can believe the media anymore, it is either pure propaganda or pure commercialism for the masses.

This is the same news group that, on the night of the Kosovo Rally when the US embassy was attacked, made all of Belgrade out to be chaotic, and wrote "Anti American riots thoughout Belgrade" as its header.

In fact, when I was at Sv. Sava that evening and got a text message saying the US Embassy was burned, my first thought was not for my own safety, but "this will be all over CNN like a rash".

Thank you once again CNN for directly contributing to the conspiracy theorists around the world.

Indeed, disgusting. That's why countries have embassies and ambassadors and high-ranking staff who can hire lawyers, lobbysts and such and do not withdraw ambassadors if there is a conflict. Just the opposite: it's the time Serbian ambassador is needed in USA the most.

Soon they will be editing the sound where future anti-government demonstrators will be chanting "Tadic... Tadic... we love you"

I'm surprised CNN didn't use footage of Otpor burning government buildings and blaming it on football hooligans. At least they wouldn't get the cities mixed up.

You waste your time. He's heartless towards crimes and harm to Serbs. Did you not see him gloating - his heart full of worms of hate - about Serbs losing Kosovo, being ethnically and culturally cleansed from Kosovo. He is typically of those heartless "human rightsters" who only have an agenda for the designated "politically correct" people. They don't care about the truth or evil done to the "politically uncorrect" target group, which is the Serb people and Serbia in spades these last almost 2 decades.

As for the CNN claiming dead Serb children were Muslims, that was witnessed by Stella Jatras and a few other alert folks who noted crosses at the "Muslim" funeral.

Then Serbia can quickly protect itself from all the lies and propaganda the western media spews forth by blocking access to places like CNN, Fox News, YouTube and WhiteHouse.Gov. And Albania too since they are up to no good either.

There are some "golden rules" on forums.

a) watch your tongue
b) do not "hijack" and generally, post things which make sense.

One of the posts here does not make any sense. It is just merely an anti-Serb+anti-Albanian+anti-Chinese and completely misses the point. Besides, as unconstitutional/morally corrupt/technically insufficient Internet censorship is, applying it domestically in Serbia or China or Albania does not prevent CNN from spreading bogus reports all over the world if they want.

Hence I suggest B92 the post #9 to be removed. It has no argument pro or contra, it has only noise and absolutely no relation to the topic.

Don't worry Jan, even China hasn't banned CNN on the internet during the Olympics because much like your comments CNN has no credibility either.

Every time Robert-o and other maybe(?) well-intent people, who got their information about tragic events around YU break-up from such "credible" sources as CNN/Fox/etcetera post - you can ask them to read this topic and answer it. CNN was so kind, it gave Serbs a wonder-weapon and spanked itself.

Now it's really pity, that precisely at the time they get the best weapon, they screw somewhat up. Wish, Serbia would have an aggressive, politically very agile ambassador in Washington, DC and bunch of "s.o.b." lawyers to sue the heck out of CNN. No, they have the "ИНАТ" instead of ambassador.
