Bulgaria's ruling coalition split on Kosovo

Reports from Sofia say that the three parties in Bulgaria's ruling coalition do not have a common position on Kosovo.

If Bulgaria recognised Kosmet's illegal UDI it would be tantamount to slitting its own throat given the Turkish majority (1.5 million) population in the south & southeast in the Kardjali Oblast. If Sofia goes ahead, then Belgrade should reciprocate and insist that Bulgaria's Turks be granted autonomy or the right to seceed.

Bulgaria also has a large and increasingly vocal Roma and ethnic Romanian population that is situated in the Dobrudja region.

Not surprised at Passi and the NSDV given that they are Washington's sock puppets.

Play them at their own game. Beograd has Sofia over the barrell methinks. :)
