Stipe, you as a Croatian is more qualified to decide what sort of friends Croatia need and not what sort of friends Serbia needs.

Anytime a Croat or an Albanian says what Serbia needs tells me to see the opposite as more suitable.
You are oposed to this man because you don't like his views on Croatian issues and anyone siding with Serbs will automatically be disqualified as a credible person as well.

So thanks for your advice but not thanks.

On top of that, he has tried to pass a resolution declaring certain parts of Croatia, including the whole of Istria, as Slovenian territory.

Serbia doesn't need these kinds of friends.

Istria was never Croatian or Slovenian territory but Italian.

Even under Croatian Fascist Leader Ante Pavelic in 1938, Istria was under the rule or Mussoloni's Italy until Tito seized it after WWII. Croatia got a present from NATO and the US after the civil war in the former Yugoslavia.

Who counts more, an opposition party of slovenia who doesnt accept Kosova's Independence or an opposition party of Serbia who supports Kosova's Independence?
We have the LDP of Serbia who actually supports the Independence of Kosova.
So please serbs, dont mention a party in Slovenia that doesnt support Independence when you have a party in your OWN COUNTRY WHO SUPPORTS KOSOVA'S INDEPENDENCE.

In order for people to make judgments regarding this article, they ought to know where are these arguments coming from. Please do some research on Mr. Jelinčič. No wonder he's not the ruling party, and I'm not saying this because of the Party's comments, but because this is not worthy of news.

Well, there is a catch... The article fails to mention that the SNS is the party of Zmago Jelinčič, an extreme nationalist who hides behind a veil of left wing pseudo-"Titoism". He's also well known for making homophobic and racist remarks (especially against Roma), and encouraging chauvinism against immigrants from the other ex-Yu republics. On top of that, he has tried to pass a resolution declaring certain parts of Croatia, including the whole of Istria, as Slovenian territory.

Serbia doesn't need these kinds of friends.

"The pressure coming mainly from the U.S. gives the impression that Slovenia, as a country, is dependent, is completely under the influence of foreign political powers, and is incapable of taking its own independent decisions,” the SNS stated.

interesting, even the Slovenians are getting fed up with the US-hegemonial policy... seems like the only ones who are eagerly looking forward to bow their heads before the US are the Albanians...

so much for independence... =)
