zk, police want to interrogate her about a number of deaths, including stambolic and djidjic i beleive. recently indictment was raised against her and her offspring for cigarette smuggling. and while milo her hubby was taking billions of our money, state of serbia's hard currency money into his personal bank accounts abroad, the first lady just smuggled cigarettes worth several tens of millions, which our budget hardly felt, eh.
one way to extract hard currency from the population was with the artificially forced inflation in 93 and 94 which was the highest in the world's history, at one point over 70 million percent a day. that's when pensioners were getting monthly pensions of two, 2, deutsche marks. this is no exaggeration and no kidding. research it. i remember it when a newspaper cost 20 billion dinnars, and one day i gave a woman at the kiosk 4 notes each worth 500 million, because i got lost in all them zeros and though they were 5 billion notes, and she looked at me and said dead serious, 'you have only given me 2 billion, this costs 20.' that was the most bizarre moment of my life.
anyway, now they are using our money to pay for their asylum. i'm sure they grabbed blood money too from other parts of former yugo. but what they got from us was soul money. from when they ruled this country and made something in our souls end and die. and then took the money too.
then there's the flat too. all robbed from this state. they were robbing, humiliating, exploiting and laughing at this country for 13 years. they belong behind bars. or in an asylum. of a different kind.

Sorry Bruce by Tony Blair, Bill Clinton and their buddies in NATO caused much more suffering than Mira and Marko. Don't try to insult the Serbian victims of the NATO campaign by trying to push the blame to someone else.

"Hahaha, now this is funny!
Abuse of power for allocating a flat to a nanny? And interpol is involved also! "

Yes it would be funny if it wasn't so tragic!

I even heard back in year 2000 before they found out the horrible news about the flat, that they were preparing a charge against Slobas daughter because of possesion of a unregistred firearm.. Is that the worst thing they can find in Serbia at that time when everyone had weapons?

No, seize their bank accounts and take Markos 60 feet Sunseeker Predator yacht from its port in Corfu, it was after all not bought with his money. The worst punishment they could get would be to live like normal people and have to work for a living!

You don't get it, do you Bruce? When the West, i.e., Washington, stops interferring in Serbia's business, like giving Ceku and Thaci immunity, maybe Russia will become a more willing player in Balkan affairs. What is the U.S. doing in the Balkans, anyway?

now this is very "funny" -- and i emphasize funny, because if and when yr nikolic is elected (not that i like tadic in the least!)there won't be so much to laugh about... funny, because when i write my comments (like "slobo's family is living safe and secure in DEMocratic russia")such comments are censored ?! can you imagine?? and then, typically, b-92 later runs some story, repeating/confirming exactly what i have said! perhaps i should go by the moniker: "Predictor." i can also assure yr readers of the (general) whereabouts of mladic and karadzic, but will do this in another special posting. good old mother russia, and those caring politicians in blgd make such a lovely pairing.

If Miss Milosevic and her son have commited any acts of treason (light - heavy) or any illegal act(s) than they should face justice...unless Russia is the land of the lawless; so much for Russia upholding "INTERNATIONAL LAW" when it harbors criminals (by interpol)*.

*Serbia is part of the interpol.

Your comments are little ridiculous. Yes - there have been a few scandals recently, but they haven't even approahed DM 10 million in smuggling. Also when are politicians are found out (and we have strict laws by international standards), when the evidence mounts they have to resign, and if necessary the police are involved and no one flees the country (and given trial by media - your career is almost certainly over).

And it's good to see Serbia's good friends Russia are protecting two of the people know caused more pain to your citizens than any others.

When compared to British politicians and their activities, this is insignificant and they get nothing but a slap on the wrist.

@bganon: "Nobody should be able to escape the law."

Something similar already happened, when both Ceku and his boss, Hashim Taqi, were briefly detained in Slovenia and Hungary. Then, however authorities released them after intervention from the highest level in UNMIK. Some may wonder why no one from the NGO sector blinks when NATO and Washington demand Interpol withdraws warrants?

InvisibleTheMan

Do not use too much energy to have them in court. Locate thier bank accounts and seize the money they earned illegally. Those money belong to the Serbian society and must go back to Serbia. One day they will travel and they will be arrested.

bganon

If this report is accurate this it is a disgrace.

Nobody should be able to escape the law. The Serbian government must also take part of the blame. If they told the Russian government in no uncertain terms that they must be extradited they would be.

I can only conclude that certain members of the government think its not in their interest to see them tried.
