I wonder if the ones who comment about kurti and his opinion, have atleast a little aducation? Kurti is a known figure. I should say political figure. He fought for Kosovas freedom and is still fighting for it. All he is saying is that kosova should be independent with no restrictions. He is a fraid like many of kosovars are that UN is going to leave some gap which might lead to conflict later on. We dont want another BOSNIA.

The distinction between patriotism and nationalism is a false one. Patriotism is love of one's country (i.e. something emotional), whatever that is supposed to mean, whereas nationalism is a political ideology that emerged in the late 18th/early 19th century and is based on certain assumptions, e.g. that the people of the world are divided into nations and have the right to self-determination in their own nation-states.
If you need a term to distinguish between a benign patriot/nationalist and an intolerant one I suggest the good old term "chauvinist".

Even more laguhable is the distinction between Hitler and Stalinas "criminals" on the one hand and Milosevic as a mere "opportunist" on the other. While I'm certainly not suggesting that Milosevic was as a bad as Stalin or the even worse Hitler, I still have to ask you since when an opportunist can't be a criminal as well?

Slobodan was a nationalist, not a patriot. I'll explain the difference my friend, A Patriot is someone who loves what they are, and a nationalist is a radical that thinks their race is better then another ones.

Kurti is a communist, he doesnt make a party in Prishtina because he knows that he wont get more then 2% of the votes. He is a communist because he beleives everyone wants what he wants. He should be kept in jail and I hope Thaci deals with him appropriatly.

lthough Kurti worked as a translator for the KLA, he doesn’t seem to have picked up a gun or committed any war crimes. I may strongly disagree with his goals, but I do agree with his opinions of the International Community and respect his intelligence. UNMIK should arrest KLA war criminals, not harass people who speak the truth. Some democracy the West is building in Kosovo…

Stalin, Hitler, and Milosevic were all patriots
(dom, 30 January 2008 19:26)

Stalin and Hitler were criminals.
Milosevic was only an opportunist, nothing more. a colorless banker who took a tragic journey into politics...

but to be honest, it seems to me as if you do not know the difference between a patriot ( what is positive ) and a nationalist...

but, that is no surprise, given that you are comparing Slobo with Hitler...

btw: wasn´t Hitler your best friend at that time?

My comment was a suggestion/question to B92 to not label Kurti as a "radical".

Stalin, Hitler, and Milosevic all killed people and had ultimate power. Kurti is a student activist who suffered Serbian oppression and he stands for Vetëvendosje!. His NGO calls for independence not for Genocide or any type of action against any minority(ies) in Kosova.

Your hypocrisy knows no pounds. Kurti is a "patriot" while a Serb equivalent would be fascist in your view.

You hit the nail on the head. Did you even read the article or did you come directly to the comment section to Albanian-bash? This article has nothing to do with Serbs.

when albin kurti is wanted by the hague then we can consider altering that title.
for the time being, it's primarily a serbian "honor."
