Laki NY: "Kate how come you didn’t shed any crocodile tears when you saw an officer burned a live in the center of Serbian civilization in Belgrade... You never miss a opportunity to paint a bad picture of Kosova."

What absolute nonsense! The story had absolutely no bearing on the article at the top of this thread.

So you think that because I didn't leap to comment on this totally unrelated story, it somehow negates my comments here?

That's a very tenuous link and attempt to belittle my points.

As I've said previously, this is not about having a go at Kosovo, but utter disgust that this industry of human slavery exists in Europe in the 21st Century.

To Ptoleme - we didn't want to create the "greater albania" - you did, so the Serbs are not at fault as you've posted time & time again. Once you recognize accountability, then you will see the light.

To Ahmet Isufi - boy are you quick to the punch. In all fairness, we (Serbia) wouldn't have the concerns/issues such as we have if we didn't do the "neighborly" thing & allow you in for a visit.

Case closed.

Sorry but Mr. Ahmet who likes writing on a Serbian news network and denoting Serbian holy land as some sort of imaginary "dardania, Kosoves or Kosova" can I please ask what Albanians are world famous for? Its not the noble peace prize is it?
Dont worry Ahmet Serbia has its criminals under control whereas Albanians have their criminals IN control.
Big difference there.

The UN and KFOR are customers of the trafficked women in the brothels there in Kosovo and Macedonia. That's partly why they are thriving.

The Bulgarian mob is dangerous and there are regular killings of the mafia there - just start checking out Bulgarian news sites. It appears they've moved into Macedonia and Kosovo these last several years.

Kate how come you didn’t shed any crocodile tears when you saw an officer burned a live in the center of Serbian civilization in Belgrade. But you decided to do without knowing any facts for what happen in Kosova. You never miss a opportunity to paint a bad picture of Kosova.

Dragan, just like the Serbs did?

Don't worry, we will not fall victim to nostalgia and ideas of a "Great Albania." We know better than to imitate Serbs.

What is this all about?
Why are we discus about whose criminals are better?
What does it matter the nationality of criminals?
See the other news about the Crvena Zvezda fans that burned the body of police officer. What should we say about this than.

They all have one name, one nationality, one religion, criminals are ”CRIMINALS”

Few days ago Kosovo Police(KPS) arrested a Serb that shot his fellow Serb in Gracanica. The arrested criminal appeared to be on the list of most wanted criminals in Kosova and Serbia. KPS also found lot of drugs at his premises. This criminal( Serb) is working together with another(Albanian) criminals.

There are lots cases where criminals cooperate no matter what is their nationality, religion …

Petrit, how do you know this explosion was caused by "Serb" weapons?

Ahmet Isufi, Kosovo is part of Serbia so I think Serbs have a right to comment on this event and the fact it has happened under NATO/UNMIK's watch.

kate

Ahmet Isufi: Being so defensive about the problems facing Kosovo serves nobody but the criminals.

Of course there are gangs everywhere, but Kosovo is rife with these sorts of problems according to the UN, Nato, Interpol, Europol, and just about every law enforcement agency in Europe and beyond.

Kosovo is known as a gateway for human and other types of smuggling.

But of course these activities also happen in other nations in Europe (sometimes linked to this trade in Kosovo) and the gangs are a success story in multi-ethnicity. They are all there, I'm sure, including Serbian, Albanian, Croatian, Macedonian etc.

If this story had been about anywhere else my original comments would have been the same. But nobody can deny that this problem exists to such an extent in and via Kosovo.

How naive you guys can be. Just look at your own mafia, drug dealers, traffickers in human beings etc...,right in the hart of Belgrade. Your mafia went as far as killing the Serbian PM. How soon you forget. Clean your own back yard first and than talk about your neigborhs.
(Ahmet Isufi, 3 December 2007 13:38)

This is normal words i expect from Mr Isufi when bad news arise about Kosovo instead dealing with the problem place spot light elsewhere. Is the norm for dealing with problems in Kosovo point the flashlight elsewhere instead not admitting a problem and trying to solve it.

Ahmet: Isn't that exactly what we're doing? We're talking about our backyard (Kosovo) and not our neighbours here...
For the rest most of the comments above seem to be quite moderate. Nobody is blaming 'The Albanians' in general. Just mafia and lack of control by police and other ruling powers like KFOR and UNMIK.

Petrit

If you didn't know this explosion happen with serb weapons, so the question raises what, and how is serbia related to almost all criminal acts!!!
Anyway, i could suggest serbains to see how is the world growing rather than trying to kill any Kosovar. We are not interested to attack anyone in the world except looking forward how to survive.

I guess when you don't pay the local mob boss you cannot operate freely. Hopefuly the new goverment will reign in this illegal activity.

Clearly this is an attack by one mafia gang against another and looks like its about to get nastier given the severity of the attack.

The UN are not soley to blame for the crime ridden society that has permeated every aspect of existance in Serbia's province under its tutelage. NATO and the whole criminal/terrorist/polictical hierachy that dominate this mafiocracy are equally to blame.

Beaten, kidnapped, raped, stripped of dignity and rights and then in danger of being blown up, probably because your 'owner' is in some battle with a rival gang.

Sounds like a great place. I wonder if this is the same gang which poured fuel over a 14 year old girl and set her alight because she wanted to stop 'working' (as the UN reported earlier this year).

These people make me sick. Anyone found using these places where women and children are being forced to prostitute themselves should be charged with rape and locked up.

Local people should do as much as they can to help to stop this illegal and disgusting trade.

bmrusila

Is there need for more proves what kind of society Kosovo is turning in. Kosovo is hub for drug and human trafficking and now criminal groups begun with liquidation between each others. Kosovo authorities had done nothing to shut down those places and find criminals that are suspected of being involved in human trafficking.
