Not really doing a good job are we. A good start would be to actually start prosecuting the criminals that burned down and destrioyed the Serbian heritage (churches..etc)and actually start protecting the Serbian population down in Kosovo. I cant even begin to imagine the constant fear they must feel and witness on a daily basis.

Even people like me from Canada, take upon themselves to do alittle research and not buy into the mainstream media.

Serbia should stick with her friends, and tell NATO to shove it. How can you join an organization who is responsible for poisoning your country with depleted uranium and cluster bombs, that supports a terrorist, separatist, organization on your soil, and is advocating the illegal and immoral amputation of 15% of your territory.
Serbia should form a military alliance with Russia, while at the same time joining the EU. NATO are not welcome while they still occupy Serbian territory.

Also KS, your claim that Serbian Orthodox churches belong to Albanians has lost you all credibility here. You may want our churches for whatever reason, but you can keep your mosques.

Lets face it, the Albanian intention was always to ethnically cleanse Kosovo of Serbs since world war II.

There are countless TV programs here in Serbia which document the harassment and death threats that Serbs have always endured, even more so now.

When Serbian street vendors selling vegetables are spit on, assaulted, and denied to use the SERBIAN language, I consider that ethnic cleansing. Sadly you do not.

But when have Albanians ever had any sympathy for Serbs?

It seems NATO is interested in making Croatia, Macedonia, and Albania members. I say go ahead, let those countries send their soldiers to Iraq, and buy US military equipment that they can't afford that will bankrupt their economies and leave their governments slaves to any US whim. Serbs have never been subservient to anyone (not Turks, not Austro-Hungarians, not Nazi Germany, and now not NATO), and are a proud and independent nation. That is the way it always has been, and that is the way it always will be.

It is clear why there is interest in the Balkans, and it is not humanatarian.
Encouraging division of the countries throughout Europe so as to "divide and conquer", have them join NATO and then make them reliant on the West is the motive.

Well it's pretty simple: you want Serbia to join you? Give it a reason to join. You want Serbia to be part of the Western family of super friends? Give it incentives to join; don't hold a metaphoric gun to its head. I mean, this should be a no-brainer for the civilized West. You cannot get a country to join you solely and exclusively through strongarming anymore.

Serbia needs to join the EU as soon as possible because that will actually improve the lives of its citizens.As far as NATO is concerned the Serb Army should have the closest working relationship possible but there is no need to become an actual member.

I agree with serb posters. Why should Serbia join NATO? NATO should go to Vojvodina and establish a huge base in order to wake-up this Milosevic government that Hungarians are people as well.

Only problem is that with the new refugee arrival, Vojvodina is pushing 80% SERBIAN. Why would Serbs want to seperate from the fatherland. Would my arm want to separate from my body? Or how about my eye.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but the last time I've looked the Kosovo heritage is of Orthodox Religion, so I ask myself, hmmm.....which nation has lived in Kosovo and belonged to the Orthodox Religion... Kosovo is part of Serbia, it is the heart of Serbia and to be more dramatic it will always be in the hearts and minds of the Serbian nation. Serbs have proven throughout history that they are of a nation who will always stand for freedom, justice and equality. Throughout history they have fought for those principles. Do I have to remind you that Serbia is the most ethnically diverse country in all of the Balkans. Croatia and soon to be Kosovo (to my regrets) will be the most ethnically pure countries.
