Georgia rejects Kosovo as precedent

- when the serbian leadership suggest the same regarding it's territory then they are labeled as nationalist and billigerent - hypocrisy of western politics!!!

In many essences Sakishvilli is right - the Abkahzi's and Ossetian's have more rights to independence then the formation of a 2nd Albania.

The precdent will follow when the US are faced with a veto and having to either completly back-off or recognise and ILLEGAL unilateral declaration for a Southern portion of Kosovo & Metohija.

I have noticed recently that Serbian politicians have used the frase "we are against a second Albanian state". It is so offensive! It shows hatred against "Albanians" as a nation. I have always felt that, it's not about religion at all. I have never been to Kosovo, but in 1999 Serbian army was bombing and advancing inside Albania per se in the north villages. Now Serbs are saying that they are just defending they territorial integrity, but what about 1999 when you crossed the border armed and categorically violetad every international law. What about that? Was Albania going to become the "heart of the Serbian nation" now too like Kosovo? To tell you the truth, till 1999, Albanians in Albania were not sympathising with those in Kosovo. We had no idea of what they were going through. I think we should sue Serbia for that at hte ICJ! Luckily, at that time italian ministers themselves went to the north to see what all these complaints of the Albanian Government were all about. They saw with their eyes, and the next week, Italy came to help! You are insatibale, where was it going to stop? If he hadn't got outside help, all those refugees would end up in Italy, and that's one of the reasons Italy supported us. I think you have a chronic hatred towards Albanianism. I can't explain it, and i don't understand it. But now at least you say it publicly. Your leaders say it publicly, with no shame at all. Now you don't just have 2 million Albanians in Kosovo against you, but you can add 3 other million from Albania per se with these comments.

Kosovo will be independent, no doubts about that. The only thing Serbia can achieve is a kind of autonomy for Serb enclaves/historical monuments within Kosovo. As for Georgian provinces, the current G. leadership opted for the USA over Russia, and I’m afraid Georgia will have to pay for that decision - not only with the higher prices of gas.
