With the dwindling of his army, Putin’s solutions for recruiting soldiers are highly undesirable for an experienced army. For one, is the release of prisoners from the slammer, provided they become Russian warriors. A second reason is finding homeless alcoholics from the streets of Russia to don the Russian uniform. Not a promising solution. This all points to a recipe for disaster. Hence a loss for Putin and Russia.
