You got it backwards, it was the Russians that do not trust Ukraine for good reason. You do remember who gave Crimea back to the Ukraine Oblast? The Soviet Premier Nikita Khrushchev , a native from Ukraine. The language laws were sufficiently changed to reduce the use of the Russian language in Ukraine where it is used by the majority of the population.

Ukrainians tend to be rebellious and have turned against leadership before, infact Zelensky got in power with a 2018 " soft rebellion " that replaced the 2014 revolution government.
Ukrainians tend to favor strong men for leaders, everything you see with leadership today that's " undemocratic " has been done by previous Ukrainian government.
Ukraine never banned Russian as a language. That narrative is 100% BS and lies. Russian was still spoken across Ukraine as a language used to communicate. If Ukrainians didn't know English they used Russian. There were ethnic Russians in Kyiv and in the west. The reason for fewer Russian speakers in the west than the east has to do with two reasons, one younger people want to learn English in school instead of Russian for economic reasons, two they are farther away from Russia.
As far as civil war deaths, don't believe them, the Ukrainian government and media often lied about this just to try to manipulate their own people.

But since the cia backed coup all Ukrainian leaders have been anti Russia. So much so that they tore up all signed agreements on neutrality. Ukraine wants to join nato and we know what that means. Do you know anything about the Cuban missile crisis? Why didnt America allow Soviet missiles on Cuban soil? So why is it now ok for nato missiles on Russias border?
Put it another way, would it be ok with Washington if Mexico and Canada wanted to invite Russia and or China to have military bases on Americas border?
Secondly, do you know over 14000 ethnic Russians have been killed by Ukraines military and approx 1 million have been forced to run to Russia to avoid the violence? Is that ok with you??
Thirdly, do you think its ok to criminalise the Russian language in Ukraine?
The best way to get it through your limited brain is to imagine those ethnic Russians in east Ukraine are American. How do you think Washington would have reacted? Would they have pleaded for 8 years before taking action..??

Stop the excuses for being aggressive criminals that threaten not only neighbors but the whole world.
Since everyone knows the Kremlin WILL NOT STOP, then the world must consider their threats as an act of war.
An act of war, or threat of one, upon the world, is about enough.
It is far past due for the whole world to stop these maniacs !
