What does Russia want / expect? Ukraine to just give in and roll the clock back to Soviet times?

They even had the front to get upset about Ukraine firing missiles into Russia, while Russia obliterates whole cities in Ukraine.

We have come to a moment of truth in the development of international relations: either we will accept that one state and its group of satellites decide how humanity will live, or humanity will live on the basis of the UN Charter. This is, in fact, a very simple choice", said the Russian foreign minister.

How fairer can this be? The meaning of "International Community" must mean exactly that, not how the "stronger" dictate the world must live and paint it as "International Community" farce!!

As much as my heart goes out to the Ukraine people, kudos to Moscow for pushing this injustice issue to front and center!

No Doug no, soviet times when Ukraine flourished becuz of the campaign of industrialization carried out by those ruskies and soviets, are gone forever. What Russia wants is a normal life for the Russian speaking Ukrainians. 8 years under heavy shelling any day, any damn day, thousands of civilians killed, its a bit more than Russians can endure. And we are still talking about a nation that has endured so much. Donbass soil is full of the Soviets blood, something like 250.000 members of the Red Army died to liberate Donbass alone from the Nazis. Hej, history is real, its not a fairy tale. Think about this when you have some spare time. Think about how sensible you would be if your grandparents had died fighting the Nazis and all of a sudden you see again the Nazis coming to power.
