I know Norway a bit. I don't recall him as PM even though I was there when he was in charge. If he was British he might have reached the level of junior minister. The last heavyweight to occupy the role of sec-general of NATO was Lord Carrington. In contrast to him, JS is completely out of his depth, a glove puppet, like that poor Iraqi government spokesman Chemical Ali. In his decade in charge, JS utterly failed to persuade member states like Germany to pay their way, so it was left to Trump to call them out. NATO has had their bluff called and been found wanting. He is the dog which barks but when given the chance does not bite. JS does his own country a disservice just like Quisling. I would only place faith in two other NATO members to act if requested - his nation Norway + Poland. All the others, especially France, Germany, Italy - will have quietly done deals with Moscow.

If JS truly believes in NATO & the sovereignty of Ukraine - and is not just there for the cameras, the PAs, the salary, the pension - then he should be demanding Biden fly over to Europe to take control of the situation.
