Information coming out of Washington reveals there are some who know the reality of the situation, but there is a greater number who live in fantasy and believe that a short sharp war with Russia will result in a defeat for Moscow thus lead to a disengagement with China. I refer to those as the cuckoo brigade.
It just shows the level of delusion this second group suffers from. The US and NATO "were humiliated by shoeless goat-herders in Afghanistan and Iraq, never mind in mechanized combat against a rival superpower."
If this is a scheme to put pressure on Russia, then they are even more deluded.
Now for those that think I’m only putting a brighter side to the Russian stance, ask yourself during the last meeting between Lavarov and Blinken the US had not responded to Russia’s proposal on a treaty and Blinken asked for more time and also requested that Russia not publish the US response. Why not publish???? What have they got to hide???? The Russians have published everything.
Hook or by crook the US has to sign a treaty which assigns NATO to the dustbin of history. There is no need for NATO after that.
The US needs to remove those policy makers who live in gaga land such as Blinken, Newland and Sullivan. They have failed at every turn.
