Yes, I am. In fact, part of my family go back to 1788. This has little to do with immigration requirements and all to do with politics.
Last year Tennis Aust., State of Victoria and Federal Government (Immigration, Foreign Affairs and Homeland Security) met to work out entry visas for the Aust Open. If a player/accompanying staff such as physiotherapists, trainers etc were not vaccinated they had to fulfil certain requirements to obtain a visa.
Two medical boards, one in Europe which is contracted to the Federal Government; the other is the Victorian medical board had to review the applicant’s request. If both boards gave their approval, then a visa was granted by the Australian Immigration. In Australia the Feds are not responsible for heath but States are. It’s the states that run health such as hospitals etc.
Djokovic met all requirements and was issued a visa. All they had to do is say up front no vaccination no entry and there would have been no issues, but the Washington puppet master wanted to make an example because Serbia does not dance to their tunes. I hope Djokovic’s career isn’t over, but I’d say Wimbledon and US Open will be closed to him.
I know of 15 people were granted exemptions (some claim its 25) to the Aussie Open. 3 have been sent back (token gesture) but what about the other 12????
You Albos are a very funny people Americans spit on your lot and you love them. What have they done for you? Nothing.
