Lenard is clearly having psychiatric issues and he fantasises many things including a very wealthy Croatia. The poorest countries in the EU are the Baltic countries, Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia, Poland and Hungary.
In 2018, Germany’s population increased by more than 400,000 through immigration. Most migrants came from 1. Romania, 2. Croatia and 3. Bulgaria. Why leave if Croatia puts more into the EU than take out?
It’s a fact Croatia contributed annually 1 billion Euros into the EU fund and took out 3 billion euros. Today its 1 billion in 2 billion out.
Its no secret what Croatia receives. Every country in and outside the EU know. If somehow Croatia received more then you would have Hungary, Slovenia, Baltic countries object very loudly.
As I said I think Rama was trying get the EU to give a little more to Albania. Merkel understood what he was doing and perhaps the reason for her behaviour.

Croatia receives the funds it receives but also contributes to the finances of the EU right? I remember Lenard writing that in fact Croatia contributes by far more than it receives. But Roman doesn't want to talk to us so we won't know. While Rama should know that what Croatia receives is not his business and he cannot discuss internal economic issues of the EU while the state he represents is not a member state. Thats not politics, thats just being stupid arrogant and ridiculous. No wonder Merkel was very laconic with him in Tirana.

Well to show this puppy the true wealth of Croatia and prove it has a higher GDP than Serbia. Deduct ALL money Croatia receives from the EU then calculate the true GDP using the financial resources earned by Croatia through tourism and export. Croatia’s real GDP ranks somewhere between Mali and Chad.
Siemens, ZF Germany, Amphenol Automotive Technology, Aptiv Packard, Continental, NCR, Adient, Toyo Tyres to name only a few have invested in Serbia.
Who has invested in Croatia in the last two decades? Zagreb has been negotiating a large investment by BMW for a decade with no results.
Croats complained that they financially propped Yugoslavia, meaning Serbia. Ok I accept that, but if that is the case why isn’t Croatia richer than Switzerland today now that it no longer has to prop up Serbia? Any thought on the matter?
This “resident local “expert” on absolutely nothing, nada, and zilch” awaits your response.

When they talk about handing out large sums of money governments have this trick where its actually old money in programs that are combined and renamed so it looks like new money. Brussels does this often.
Another trick they use is announced a multibillion-euro allocation, but don’t mention that its over a decade or two thus giving the impression its over a year or two.
It’s a long and complex explanation and I don’t have room here.
Let me say if the Croats received all the money that was announced then every earthquake damaged building in Croatia would be fixed by the end of this year. Do you think that’s going to happen? I don’t.
Croatia gets what it was going to get and nothing more. As far as Rama is concerned, he is playing politics by crying foul and hoping get more. It’s a political trick.

Why does this news surprise anybody, the Western Balkans are in a special category: paupers. None of these countries is ready to meet the qualifications of the EU, including Serbia. Sorry to upset the delusional sick little puppy from Sydney, our resident local “expert” on absolutely nothing, nada, and zilch!

Pssst,
Here’s another so called “leak”. Most Serbs have given the EU a middle finger salute long ago. They don’t want to join.
But if the EU must continue its delusional self-aggrandizing, then by all means please do continue the fraud for your idiotic puppets in KiM, BiH, NM, CG, AL.

sj the most ridiculous thing was Rama recently complaining about the amount of financial handouts being given to western balkans compared for example as Edushka said to the financial handout being given recently to Croatia. Of course he added "deservedly" cuz big friend of croat PM but can you imagine Macron and Merkel hearing that bankrupted states of the Balkans are already pretending the EU bailouts them even before becoming candidat states?

“EU cannot guarantee future membership for the six countries of the Western Balkans".
This question needs to be answered honestly not using double talk. I wish the EU or so called free western media would just openly say what is said by Brussels administrators/diplomats, local and international financial institutions, behind closed doors.
The answer is that the EU does NOT have the financial resources to accommodate any new members. Its not Serbia they need to accommodate, but the rest. If they did not have issues over Kosovo, the EU would have taken Serbia at the drop of a hat. Serbia does not need massive handouts like the rest.
Serbia is the only entity from the former Yugoslavia that is financially viable, the others are not and that includes Croatia and Slovenia.
The west has become such a failure that all it does is issue these platitudes and cliches.
