Now that General Clark has explained it, it makes sense that Serbia could have avoided being bombed. However, all the propaganda that Milosevic used in order to confuse the Serb people had the affect of deceiving Serbs and causing them to support his policies. I stand corrected, Serbia could have been spared from NATO’s Humanitarian bombing.

Serbia lost four wars instead of three by not signing the Rambouillet accords. Milosevic made Serbs the most hated people on earth. Consequently, everywhere we traveled we were treated as pariahs.

General Wesley Clark is not only a poor general but a terrible liar. The Rambouillet agreement was settled in principal. When the papers were to be signed, the annex of the agreement was changed to include free movement of NATO throughout the former Yugoslavia. This was not simply a transfer of NATO troops.

No different than what the Nazi's requested with the triparite agreement with Prince Pavle in 1938 before World War II allowing Nazi troops to enter Yugoslavia.

NATO deliberately targeted civilian structures in order to terrorize the population as the KLA was soundly defeated on the ground and the NATO air campaign barely made a dent to the Serbian army.

NATO war crimes include the bombing of the Chinese Embassy, Greek and Swiss Consulates, Serbian News Station RTV, NIS market place, and other civilian infrastructure throughout Yugoslavia. Geneva conventions and Helsinki Accords broken with the use of depleted Uranium and the deliberate bombing of a leaders residence to name two.

Rambouillet agreement was meant to be rejected, no nation on earth would have accepted the conditions it stipulated. USA was intent on bombing the country regardless, Serbia stood in the way of American interests. The biggest instigator of the bombing was Madeline Albright a monster like none over.

This murdering bastards, that almost started a war with Russia when he wanted British forces in Kosovo to attack a Russian contingent that went from Bosnia to Pristina airport, is lying. Milosevic accepted all conditions thrown at him at Ramboulliet except one that no country would accept: The complete and unrestricted access by NATO to all of the territory of Serbia. That condition was explicitly made because Albright, NATO and Clinton knew very well that that was unacceptable. Because they wanted this war. Even Kissinger of all people said that that condition was over the top.

Wesley Clark continues with lies and distorts the truth.
Albanians took up arms and were shooting and killing Serbian policemen and all things Serbian in Kosovo in the early 1990s. Adem Jashiri is an example of just one terrorist. By the way the Serbian forces were sent in many years later as a reaction to Albanian terrorism.
There is a saying that if you provoke me enough you will bring out my ugly side. And when that happens you then play the victim. This is what happened in Kosovo.
As for NATO, well thats a lie as well Mr Clark. Many diplomatic sources confirm that NATO decided to bomb Yugoslavia months earlier. They just needed an excuse, so the Racak lie was fabricated.
Didnt George Robertson say in early 1999 that his sources confirm Albanisns had murdrered far more poeple than Serbian forces (UK defence sec).
As for ethnic cleansing, that too is a lie. Albanians ran to N Macedonia and Albania in late march to escape NATO bombs.

Try telling the truth Mr Clark.

First of all Clarke was in my view mentally unstable at that time. Probably still is.Rambouillet was designed and managed to fail. it had already been decided in Washington and Lonon to take military action against Serbia. After the entry by NATO forces into Kosovo, Clarke asked his planning staff to plan the movement of Nato forces to ' take Belgrade'. His staff told him that this would be a disaster. Both militarily and politically. He was very reluctant to take their advice. You will also recall his instruction to General Jackson to take Pristina airport from the Russians by force. An order red flagged by Jackson.jjh Asst Secretary General, U N, (rtd)

I see Wesley Clarke has climbed from under a rock. He requested that William Cohen approve a parade in New York for his “victory” in Kosovo.
Unfortunately, Cohen saw the amount military hardware and troop numbers the Serbs were taking out of Kosovo and that Clarke had been lying about destroying the Serb army there. Sorry no parade and in fact Cohen removed Clarke from head of NATO 3 months earlier than scheduled as punishment.
The Rambouillet agreement, like the terms the Austro-Hungarian empire sent to Belgrade after the assassination of the Archduke in Sarajevo, demanded total capitulation. Serbs are not like Croats or Albos with weak spines who would have capitulated over the phone.
Clarke now claims that Milosevic’s “..troops committed numerous brutalities in Kosovo”??? He probably means like the one in Racac, but wait a moment. Three years after the war Racac was not mentioned by the west as a “massacre”. In fact, the Serb commanding officer in Racac, Goran Radosavljevic, attended meetings with NATO in Europe, well after Racac, and was even given an award by the then General of NATO forces in Europe for contribution to peace and fighting terrorism.
I do love this part: …the airstrikes "were directed against the then political regime”. Meaning they love the Serbs but Slobo made them do it. Just how stupid is Clarke??????? I don’t think there is a tape measure that could measure it accurately.
