I hear 100's of Serb officers quit the armed forces every year.
Not even including the ones that cant wait to retire at the first possible opportunity.
Plenty of room for fast advancement if you know the rite person and some bribe.
I hear they quit because of inbred nepotism also very low pay etc.
Appointments of who you know not your skill and knowledge a the Serb way tradition.

If Serbia is fortunate enough to be able to join NATO, they will never have to impose mandatory military service.

As long as the government exempts conscientious objectors, I don't mind what they do amongst themselves.
