I have heard this many times also. But when we bought the abandoned homestead one of the first things we did was to cut down the šljivak (plum orchard) because the trees are meant for preparing rakija. Though rakija has medicinal benefits, alcoholism is one of the greatest downfalls in the villages. A strong position should taken against this evil.
