Nobody is saying America is about to revoke Kosovo recognition but neither can they force Serbia, Russia, China, India, etc to recognise it as a state. So you can jump for joy as much as you want but Kosovo will never have a UN seat. This of course means little/no investment and poverty will continue.
The fact is that America made a huge mistake and opened a can of worms. They also underestimated Serbias resolve. They created a problem which will last for decades to come by supporting a criminal terrorist band whose intent was to steal a chunk of a sovereign states land.

Suppose your father has 10 hectares of land and you are one of four children. If you divide that 10 hectares four ways, no one has enough land to farm but everyone has enough land to pull their attention from their goals in life in the city. It becomes even more foolish when people divide individual parcels into shares, resulting in average parcel size in the countryside being less than half an acre. Having acted out such stupidity since the departure of the Turks many generations ago, we have no one to blame for the complete ruin of the farm industry from Aranđelovac to Vranje!

The facts are these.......the Yanks thought they could create a fake state by taking a chunk of land from a sovereign country. They thought Serbia would accept the BS, so supported a corrupt terrorist band who are Europes biggest narco dealers. 21 years on and Serbia has not buckled. Serbia has the support of half the UN members. Meanwhile Kosovo slips further into poverty. 30% of Albos left their haven between 2008-2018. And more will leave the hellhole. Its now clear America can not force Serbia to recognise its stolen lands as a state, not a chance.
So tell us whats gonna change? How will Kosovo get a UN seat with China and Russia on the security council???
Mark my words, the time will come when Serbian forces march into Kosovo and rightly take control of their lands. I have a feeling when the time comes 98/99 will look like a garden tea party.....

In his world all previous administrations mishandled everything and only his can straighten things out. If you believe this will herald a long awaited change in US policy toward the Balkans you will be disappointed. The fact is this "agreement" which is not in-fact an agreement at all, largely restates provisions of other agreements and creates more potential problems for Serbia than it resolves. The whole point of this agreement was to get Israel and Kosovo to recognize each other so that Trump can claim "another Muslim country" made peace with Israel thanks to his leadership. Something his evangelical base cares about much more than Serbia and Kosovo.

Yes, the west underestimated Serbia. Just look at their history. They are very much people of principles. They stood up to Austro-Hungary and Germsny in WW1 at great cost to themselves. The same in WW2. And everyone in the west thought Serbia would buckle after a week of bombing in '99. But they didnt, did they?
So what makes you think they will recognise Kosovo after everything that they lived through? Really think about that point.
And of course everyone knows that American threats are hollow today.
But if they did try another attack its a different landscape now. Putin would not allow an attack on Serbia, and you know it.
Believe me, the Serbs will regain full control of their lands in good time. May be 5 years, maybe 10, perhaps 30 years or even more. But mark my words......

Do you mean the way the Germans rolled into Belgrade after a week of bombing during WW ll, and the Serb People greeting them with flowers and jars of lubricant. Let’s not even talk about the Serbian Army’s retreat from Croatia, forcing their civilians to leave last so as to form a buffer zone between them and the advancing Croatian Army.
