@ Pilka,
My family and I have had a very bad experience in hotels around Budva.
Numerous problems with accommodation, no hot water, booked balcony with a sea view was just view of some 10cm,
Telephone did not work.
When we requested to be moved we became its our fault. Reception staff were rude,no nice. Hotel rep. Was even worse.
Love the country, but people were not tourist caring.
People in the mountains are the lovely people, warm, welcoming.
For years we were regular returners but in 2008 we stopped visiting montenegro we go to Spain, Portugal Malta where English speaking people are. And we are treated well.

I have no idea what you have experienced nor what part of Montenegro you went to, but I dont doubt that "Montenegrins" have contempt for Serbs, but I can assure you that the Serbs that live there do not. But if there is so much hate against Serbs who are all those people that demonstrated against the new laws about Church property then? Serbs from Serbia or locals?

Perhaps you might want to read my post again about Dujko's master, Washington DC. All of this is orchestrated by the west to pressure the Serbs over Kosovo. That’s all.
Let me put it this way. If you find that you are ignored or treated rudely at hotels and restaurants go somewhere else and those people can feel comfortable with empty establishments. Go to Greece instead.

sj,
Never answered my question! Why do the Montenegrins hate us Serbs? Each time I visit there, I feel contempt from them when they realize I’m Serb. They become quite rude, to the point of ignoring me in restaurants and hotels, when I reveal my country of origin. Things have changed dramatically for Serbs in Montenegro, and continues to get worse for Serbs.

BBC Balkans correspondent Guy Delauney wrote that 7 out of 10 Montenegrins are loyal to the Serbian Orthodox Church. So, Serbs are the predominant people, despite the “Montenegrin” claiming they are a minority, and they don’t hate their kind.
All this is orchestrated by Djuko’s master in Washington who wants to break the Serbs, but those idiots have reduced their education system to churning out barely literate people so they don't know any history because if they did, they would know it’s the Serbs that will break them.
The west is coming to an end and the east is taking over - there is no changing that. Why do you think the Catholic Church badly wants to patch things up with the Orthodox world? For hundreds of years the money was in western Europe then the US, but all that is coming to a conclusion and the east will be holding all the cards. The Catholic Church wants friends in this new world order lest they disappear.

Serbian citizens don't be sorry for not contributing to monte Negro economy.
Tourism is they depend upon heavily and only.
Montenegro stop producing things long ago. Industry was long gone.
Last time I was there most of the food stuff in all hotels were imported from rep. Serbia.
I could not find anything made in Montenegro apart some seriously excellent quality RED WINE.
I highly recomend.
Milo at work he wanted to close entire industry in order to create entire country into the National park.

Little Montenegro again listening to their master Germany playing with big boy's but, they always in their history come back to Serbia on their knees begging for help,I give them five to ten years and they will come back begging as always.

Is there a reason that the Montenegrins’ hate us? I always thought they were our Slavic Orthodox Brothers. Can someone please explain to me why there is such contempt for Serbs.

Can imagine the crowds of tourists from Zimbabwe, arriving on Airbus A-380-s of Montenegro Airlines to Podgorica.

Today Spain became "yellow" in Hungary (after they assured, everyone from Schengen area is safe).

Hungary is "red" from Ukraina because of the mother tongue dispute in Trans-Carpathians.

New Zealand is "green" for all Schengen, except Hungary because the PM of NZ is of Hungarian descent and criticized Orbán. So if you are from NZ, don't take any non-existing direct flight to Budapest, take to Frankfurt or Vienna instead - than take train.

Swiss can travel to Russia and Russians to Switzerland. Same about UK, Turkey.
But no Belarus, even that the border is open. It costs 1200 Rub to travel each direction, avoiding the border guards. Since now everyone can travel to Belarus with a Russian visa, see the consequences.

I think, all they are completely insane, playing some weird Stalinist game of COVID who can travel and where. And in the meanwhile the French post (Chronopost) is out of function "because of COVID".

I wasn't anywhere for a long period of time - all I can say, the blood of Alsatians and Germans on the other side of the Rhine is now boiling. These government clowns are beyond what I ever imagined.
