Its not that the EU cannot give Kosovo visa free travel but its members are afraid if they do Kosovo would be empty withing 18 months and places like Austria, Holland, Belgium etc would gain many new inhabitants.
I have said it many times that Serbia and the US do not want Kosovo divided but for different reasons and so the status quo continues. All this talk of an Albo army in Kosovo is just that - talk to keep the locals happy when in reality this will never occur.

Clhoe, so you think that only America and the EU (but not Spain, Greece, etc) have a right to be involved in talks. Namely you want everyone who recognises Kosovo to be involved but not nations who do not recognise Kosovo.....??

As for Russia not having a sphere of influence........errrr, excuse me???? Russia has had close ties with Serbia for centuries. They faught on the same side in both world wars. They both faught against imperialist Ottoman Turkey. They have cultural and close religious ties. By the way Albanians were on the side of Austro-Hungary in WWQ, Nazi Germany and fascist Italy in WWW. Your mob was against the US and allies in both wars.
As for '99, Russia was headed by a drunk Yeltsin and the country was in turmoil due to the Soviet break up. But you know this so lets not be silly....
Today Russia has Putin and Russia is orderly and powerful. Its a different world and you dont like it.

I think that is a main PROBLEM.

The EU is basically deflecting and trying to appease Albanians with a stick and carrot routine like they do with Serbia. At least you have somewhat of a realistic expectation with the US and Russia. The EU is crumbling more and more as it's member states gradually vote for the center-right.

It takes all of 3 months to train a raw recruit to handle weapons. It might take another 10 months on more sophisticated weapons? Now how long has it been since they recognized Kosova? 12 years since declaring your independent. Grow up and stop playing with it.

UN res. 1244 is clear an Authonomy is offered. If rejected rep Serbia would freeze any talks for as long as possible.
Germans selling arms to kosovo* is against the law as Germany is forbidden by int organisations to do so.
In Serbia we have their German fabrika, their investment, their move does not make a sense. If true they are gambling.

As we speak, Kosova/o is being armed by Germany and others. I have seen state of the art tanks and anti aircraft weapons while visiting Kosovo. Furthermore, military training is being provided the Army of Kosova by the US. If Serbia thinks it has friends in the EU and US, then I have a bridge for sale.

Dekim: All that is important is the US and EU are in agreement that Kosova is independent and will become a NATO Member and then joining the EU. With this achieved, Kosova will become a Member of the UN.
