The champions of European Buffoon Competition are British tourists, closely followed by German and Russian Country Geniuses™

Hundreds if not thousands of them are stuck in Maldives, Goa and what-not.
The idiots became desperate and started to live in the airport, spreading panic.

- They went on vacation at the time everything was pretty much clear, right? Do they had their heads inside of sand, like ostrich?
- Once there - they are essentially in a paradise. Don't they have few hundred $ more to spend in a decent environment, arrange with their companies to perform telecommuting work?
- What they expect after they return home? To continue their life as it was before the vacation or be up to 28 days in quaranteene (what no employer will pay for?)
- What is the cost of evacuation and what is the burden they "outsource" to their own countries?

Instead, buy extra laptop locally, arrange with your employer, spend more time in paradise and don't come here back until the situation is clear.
All countries suspended the strict immigration rules, so having extra month or two in isolation somewhere in Maldives is welcome!
Instead: staying at the airport, over-paying for the last-minute flights, spending a week how to fly home across the globe - and than 28 days in quarantine, with your job on hold. Idiots.

No one copied you, Lenny - it is a common sense. The thieves are all over the East Europe and all they know is how to steal from us. I think, the (not crowned-yet) king is Orbán, followed by Vucic and Poroshenko.

I always call Serb "politicians" that and much worse.

No contest, Lenard #2 or Lenard #1, whatever your name.
There are some exemptions - I think, Ana is more-less OK.

The residents of YU are the judge of her, not me.
But as far as I see, she is easily better than any vitéz pribék föispán colleague of Orbán.

I hate to say this but Ursula von der Leyen is a superb example of what is going wrong in the west...

Unfortunately the "east" has own army of buffoons.
But on very-very "east" the numbers are down again.

The bad rumors, mostly spread from Japan and from few anti-iPhone activists in Russia is that the stupidity spreads via iOS and Android, the more of these, the worse.

A decorated crusader on her own (my wife as a teacher) confiscates the smartphones from kids and as a punishment they are obligated to communicate by hand-writing.

Japanese going even further - they have obligatory calligraphy classes, claiming that learning how to write nicely makes you more disciplined and is beneficial for mind and body.

Sure not panacea - but using the smartphone as just a smartphone and not going for the latest iPhone 25 with XiaoMi Super-Duper every year makes sense.

It's not Russian school - but the moment I completely freak out if I see Russian kids text each other on the phone: "I-LV-U", literally.

sj,

I am under curfew, military guys with scary guns walking outside and if I want to step out I have to download a pdf file, fill it out and sign.

In BG the army is on the streets.

This is the web site for the permit:

I can't find the link to the picture of Belgrade with scary guys and AK-47, but I seen it.

I hate to say this but Ursula von der Leyen is a superb example of what is going wrong in the west. At a time when strong leadership is critically needed we get these mealy-mouth politicians who are afraid of their own shadow in saying something that is politically incorrect resulting in a paralysis in decision making. And you wonder why I call them buffoons.

Europe is at the epicenter because the EU did not close its exterior borders weeks ago. Anybody (including non Asians) traveling from Asia to Europe should have been banned entry.
So, is she and the commission going to resign for utter incompetence?
