Unfortunately, China is not yet out of the woods from Coronavirus and is not in position to help anyone.

Only Wuhan is in full deadlock so far and, sadly, judging by how Covid19 is spreading in Europe - it is the matter of time for this nasty virus to spread throughout China in free fall and wreak havoc. If this happens - I and hope it will not - the whole world's ventilators and medical masks won't be enough to help them.

Pray this never happens.

Can we please remember this when the EU asks anything from us? Much respect for China, the EU.. I really don't care what happens to it.

What has China done, concretely, for Serbia. Words don’t count! As far as Russia is concerned, they can’t even help themselves. The virus is raging there, but Putin has become mute on covid-19.

I do not like the EU and in fact voted for Brexit, but please remember the EU did not create this Virus! In 2002 a new Virus to be called SARS appeared in China and spread around the world killing people. The source of the Virus was a Wet Market where wild animals from around the world were kept and slaughtered in disgusting conditions allowing the virus to jump species . China failed to keep them closed and knew what had happened. Now due to their incompetence they have exported SARS Cov 2 to destroy lives and economies. The new infection rate in Wuhan today is zero so they might know a thing or two about dealing with the disease plus they build several hospitals literally overnight. The west would still be preparing environmental impact statements in case a rare frog is endangered with possible public consultations by December 2020.

Interestingly, the quite west-open Ukraine which is now in 2020 the poorest and most anti-Moscow-government country in Europe has extremely small number of COVID-19 cases. So is Belarus, with an eccentric and somewhat bizarre permanently "elected" president.

I do not know the explanation and do not want to celebrate before thing is over, but it seems that there is "something", if not in Russia or Belarus, than in Ukraine.

For now, let's call that "something" just sheer luck, let's see.

Tonight Taiwan is going to be "closed" and all hopes of course for COMPUTEX 2020 in June are gone. The reason is that suddenly the number of cases "exploded". So no one knows what the heck is going on there.

And as far as their help I have quite mixed feelings about it. As I wrote earlier, almost an entire city got infected here in Europe - and it happened begin of December. The reason was a single businessman who returned from China... in November of 2019.
No one told (because no one knew) the people. My friends (a couple with a young boy) are from that city. I spoke with them tonight - they did not realize what happened until now.

Again: a gazillion of bizarre symptoms, somewhat typical for influenza - but weaker. An other difference is the extreme duration, up to 4 weeks of symptoms. Most are: diarrhea, strong headache, difficulty to breath, pain in muscles, dry persistent cough. And children not infected.

It's like walks like duck, waddles like a duck and quacks like a duck so it is probably not a rooster. Needless to say, people now realized what happened and needless to say, Chinese "help" and "tourists" are very-very "welcome" there, for decades.

Now let's ask Italians how much they welcome now Chinese "help" and tourists. :(
I can say, I am very emotional and outraged.

Unfortunately not only I got the infection, tonight I learned that many-many people more - and quite early. Including my friends.

I was wrong: we do not hear numbers from Belarus, Ukraine, Russia simply because people do not realize, they are ill.

I still stand by my opinion: the number of infected is much higher than reported and the number of cases people do not even notice is extremely high.

That also means, the percentage of the lethal cases is very small.

Now of course everyone believes, I am ill.
And as I described my condition to a friend of mine he told me, few days ago he realized he was ill, too. Not enough: basically the entire city where he lives was ill.

They recovered - but the tough question is still there: we can overlook the symptoms, the number could be extremely high - but why the mortality is THAT low, at least much lower than in Italy? Their healthcare is said to be one of the worst in Europe and there is nothing there, really nothing. Why they seem to be OK and Italians with their best system not?

I don't know, sorry.

Otherwise, now with an already healed couple and myself slowly improving: the symptoms are extremely mild. The problem is with the persistence of the "bug" and all the surprises. But it shows that with even best intentions normal people can't handle bats.

They should call specialists (there are even specialists who can extract raccoons stuck inside the canalization) and let them handle.

According everything I ever heard we should never touch a bat and leave that job to veterinarians or rangers. Eating it is even more bizarre idea.

China is in the process of sending over various equipment, consumables and specialists to assist with combating the virus plus the Chinese are far more advanced in dealing with this epidemic than most western countries.
All Trump keeps on saying is everything is fine; nothing to worry about. I understand they don’t want to cause panic but action talks louder than words. Its only today he has asked that masks and other vital consumables be manufacture in the US. The EU is finished. Useless as an ashtray on a motorcycle.
If you think the Chinese are hiding real numbers of infected, as claimed by the US media, I hate to see the real numbers in the US. They still have only tested 5 people out of 1 million while China and South Korea have 4,000 per million. The US is on par with India.
The new infection rate in Wuhan today is zero so they might know a thing or two about dealing with the disease plus they build several hospitals literally overnight. The west would still be preparing environmental impact statements in case a rare frog is endangered with possible public consultations by December 2020.
It’s amusing to note that right after China announced it would help Serbia, like a jack-in-the -box, out pops the EU making a similar statesmen, but no assistance for the moment.
Personally, and I don’t speak for anyone else, this virus is being used as camouflage for more economic pain down the track.

As far as Russia is concerned, they can’t even help themselves. The virus is raging there, but Putin has become mute on covid-19.

Interestingly, the quite west-open Ukraine which is now in 2020 the poorest and most anti-Moscow-government country in Europe has extremely small number of COVID-19 cases. So is Belarus, with an eccentric and somewhat bizarre permanently "elected" president.

I do not know the explanation and do not want to celebrate before thing is over, but it seems that there is "something", if not in Russia or Belarus, than in Ukraine.

For now, let's call that "something" just sheer luck, let's see.

Unfortunately not only I got the infection, tonight I learned that many-many people more - and quite early. Including my friends.

I was wrong: we do not hear numbers from Belarus, Ukraine, Russia simply because people do not realize, they are ill.

I still stand by my opinion: the number of infected is much higher than reported and the number of cases people do not even notice is extremely high.

That also means, the percentage of the lethal cases is very small.

Now of course everyone believes, I am ill.
And as I described my condition to a friend of mine he told me, few days ago he realized he was ill, too. Not enough: basically the entire city where he lives was ill.

They recovered - but the tough question is still there: we can overlook the symptoms, the number could be extremely high - but why the mortality is THAT low, at least much lower than in Italy? Their healthcare is said to be one of the worst in Europe and there is nothing there, really nothing. Why they seem to be OK and Italians with their best system not?

I don't know, sorry.

Otherwise, now with an already healed couple and myself slowly improving: the symptoms are extremely mild. The problem is with the persistence of the "bug" and all the surprises. It's like a smorgasbord: you do not know in the morning, what kind of array of "niceties" that virus will bring you in the evening. And that goes on for 3-4 weeks.

Tonight Taiwan is going to be "closed" and all hopes of course for COMPUTEX 2020 in June are gone. The reason is that suddenly the number of cases "exploded". So no one knows what the heck is going on there.

And as far as their help I have quite mixed feelings about it. As I wrote earlier, almost an entire city got infected here in Europe - and it happened begin of December. The reason was a single businessman who returned from China... in November of 2019.
No one told (because no one knew) the people. My friends (a couple with a young boy) are from that city. I spoke with them tonight - they did not realize what happened until now.

Again: a gazillion of bizarre symptoms, somewhat typical for influenza - but weaker. An other difference is the extreme duration, up to 4 weeks of symptoms. Most are: diarrhea, strong headache, difficulty to breath, pain in muscles, dry persistent cough. And children not infected.

It's like walks like duck, waddles like a duck and quacks like a duck so it is probably not a rooster. Needless to say, people now realized what happened and needless to say, Chinese "help" and "tourists" are very-very "welcome" there, for decades.

Now let's ask Italians how much they welcome now Chinese "help" and tourists. :(
I can say, I am very emotional and outraged.

If this happens - I and hope it will not - the whole world's ventilators and medical masks won't be enough to help them.

Knowing their very democratic and human-life-centric tradition, I am afraid, you are optimist.
I think, they will introduce measures more brutal, than "one child" - and their politicians are among the most corrupt.

The result will be a bunch of corrupt and incompetent overlords ruling literally over life and death.
