There are other respected organizations Kosovo can seek membership at - and with probability achieve it in shot period of time without a single word of disapproval from Serbia.

They don't do it because it's Balkan, where these organizations have historically small influence.

Example: UIC. Kosovo tries for years to become the member of UIC. The idea is crazy because Serbia is already member of UIC. The same time Albania is not.

Of course Kosovo does not try to become the member of OSJD. It's quite close thing as UIC, but historically Jugoslavija was only an observing member and now no part of ex-JU is part of OSJD. However (historically) Enver Hoxha was one of the founders of OSJD.

The question: why not seek closer ties with Albania and get sponsored to become a member of OSJD?

This will also answer Kurti's demand for a transparent deal regarding railway traffic: one OSJD member and one UIC member make that deal, with paperwork transparent to both organizations.

Do not ask USA for help: they can't even manage Amtrak right.

Since Johns Hopkins is just as good as the traditional Ivy League colleges, I used the term Ivy League. MIT is not Ivy League but it’s better than 97% of them.
