?!? In that Quedlinburg and Wernigerode there is not a single mosque.
The only non-Europeans present were the fruit sellers from Vietnam.
The only mosques in Poland are the ones where regulars are Tatars. Their ancestors invaded Poland 400 years ago - but decided to settle there and were given few villages.
AFAIK, there is not a single public mosque in Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia.
Nearby in Königsberg (Калининград ) a brand-new Synagogue was just erected to replace the one desroyed by nazis. Looked, looked, looked there - between the gothic cathedral and the Synagogue not a single mosque. OK, it's not EU.
Maybe the problem is, the public welfare in Wernigerode or Kosice is less, than in Sweden?

After the end of the DDR the city of Quedlinburg had to buy their own church treasure back on an American auction.
Despite the known DDR history, one of the street signs was preserved in Russian, you can see it in person.
And because of the history with the church, this is a peculiar city in Germany where I was recently told not to show my passport way to much. Not because something bad would happen... just people silently would turn their back and walk away.
Rome is in Italy and Wittenberg where Luther was active is not that far from Quedlinburg.

Just don't say you are American. Things will cool down and suddenly everyone is gone or busy. I did not do that mistake, met a local volunteer guide and he warned me.
