@Zarko
How dare you call me "foreigner"
I am Serbian since 2012.
Born in Vojvodina.
(Ljiljana, 9 December 2019 17:01)

So you were born in 2012? I was guessing you to be 70+ years old. My bad!

But if you were born in Vojvodina, that explains your spelling!

In UK EU money had paid, done numerous projects that had improved country beyond RECOGNITION. I know well because I moved to UK back in 1970 and how it was I do not wish to recall again.
Yes we were rich but we did lack the knowledge, how. EU was an eye opener
So, EU money helps all members and candidates.

How dare you call me "foreigner"
I am Serbian since 2012.
Born in Vojvodina.
I am right now in rep Serbia.
Many in rep Serbia have priorities the other way around.
Packet of "fags"
Alcohol,
When you go out most have 4 rounds of I scream,
Holidays on credit.
So I am in Subotica right now.
But paying my bills firstly, buying food next and 2 rounds of ice cream if I go out.
So I am absorbed into life of Serbs.
And have relatives I know how they live.
No money but driving very nice cars. But they have nothing.
Whilst I travel on the su- buses.
You are clever dick for calling serbs foreigners.

You see Mary the reason why this sudden hold to expand the EU has nothing to do with Serbia direct but the cost to the EU.
When a country joins the EU that country then has access to the EU fund which is a non-repayable account. The country puts a little in but generally withdraws a lot more out. For example, Croatia puts in about 1 billion Euros but over the 12-month period it withdraws 3 billion Euros. There are lots of other financial benefits on similar basis and then there are cheap loans etc.
I could go on and on but I think you now may have an idea when I say it has everything to do with MONEY – No More Money, that’s all. The EU cannot meet its side of financial obligations.

sj,
Which financial obligations to Serbia were not met by the EU. You appear to be under the illusion that the EU owes Serbia money. Please explain! Any country that does not embrace EU norms should not and will not receive EU funds.

Are all Albos like you? Suffering from dyslexia and difficulty with comprehension?
Macron never mentioned what you have posted here. Look at your Albos in Kosova and Albania. They are on all fours grovelling to the EU and US and where has that got them? Nowhere at all.
This article talks about Macron mentioning two main point only. The first is that the negotiation procedures to join the EU are currently too bureaucratic, confusing, unclear. The second is that the EU, in its current format, is not functioning and these all required changes.
Note nothing to do with Serbia at all.
The real reason why France, Holland, Belgium and others are objecting to new members has NOTHING to do with whether Serbia is pro or anti west lovey, but everything to do with MONEY – No More Money, that’s all. The EU cannot meet its side of financial obligations.

Ofcourse the lives have been improved.
New higways, roads,
New places of employment,
New parks. That is important.

Is EU to take credit for this?
Who's investing in the infrastructure in Serbia? China, not EU.

"Serbia is light years from joining EU"...sorry, she's won't join because she's not invited, this accession process is just a charade. "Of course opening chapters helped Serbia - see the new roads and jobs"...funny she's NOT a member of the EU, new chapters didn't give her roads and jobs, she did this on her own initiative. Serbia and Serbs need to capitalize on their advantages, and not being a member of thr EU is one of them. She's better to give up on the Wests consistent lies and look East, join the EAEU. This is where her future is. But first...clear the 5th column and buy S-400s.

Lliljana,
Apparently, you do not live in Serbia, so don’t speak for us. Like so many foreigner, you have been hoodwinked by our dishonest leadership. There are no jobs that pay well enough to feed a family. Come to Serbia to see how our people live, it will break your heart.

Mary

Which ever way you slice it, Serbia is light years away from joining the EU. Macron is correct, no enlargement until Serbia shows which side she is on. Until Serbia proves she is pro-West, no new funds must be wasted on her.

Like in any Balkan country people do not recognize unless to every house hold one gives one million euro. All would be fine.
And all depends on priorities.
In Serbia to some priority is a packet of flags,
4rounds of ice cream, bottle of sljivovica holiday in Greece, Kopsonik,Palic, Spa.
So no matter what Mr Vucic does there would be always someone who would not recognize it.
