"...the EU's goal is to first and foremost mitigate US influence in the region."
It's not going to amount to anything. How will they mitigate US influence in Pristina? I very much, doubt that.
And what position would Mr. Lajcak take? One of his own country that doesn't recognize Kosovo, or one of the EU that doesn't have a unified position? It's hard to see how will he be able to make any kind of progress.
