Russia has a huge build up of NATO troops and weapons on its North Western border, mainly in the Baltic countries.

Russia has about 350,000 troops on that same North western border so those NATO troops are pretty much useless. In all the US contribution is about 4,000 and that is symbolic at best.
Although on paper the US military has 50 Army brigades or 10 US divisions, only 3 brigades or 15,000 soldiers are combat ready.
Other NATO members all rely heavily on the US and, something very few know, that was how NATO was designed by the Americans, but now these same Yanks whine that the others don’t do enough on their own.

If Russia was that concerned the next stage would be to build a base in Cuba then watch the US shit itself LOL.
