You're investing German money again!?
(Tom L'Orizi, 28 October 2019 12:46)
=======================
Nope, Germans are investing German money. Money is money, regardless of where it comes from.
Let's not kid ourselves, "Kosova" would love some German money.

No, my relatives don’t lie. My son was recently there and he saw the site where Siemens has purchased the 200 hectares from local people and constructing a huge industrial complex.
I’m sorry but you can’t sit in a village expecting the government to do everything from cradle to grave. Those days are over. You have to move to find work and you also need skills.
For a man who is starving your English is very good so I am a little sceptical of your Serbian background mate.

My sons have left Serbia to find work in order for us not to starve. Don’t listen to the lies about everyone that wants to work has a job. sj, your relatives are not telling you the truth.

Young people must be prepared to go to work where work is.Sell house, or travel
I daily travelled for years 100 miles into London and back. And worked in UK for 45 yrs. And enjoyed my career, my 143 staff.
Át age of 73 I would not change anything.

"Most of the people are there because they are told to be there, if they want to keep some government job for them, or their relatives. That's the system.

Show up for the count, help fill our events, and you will be protected. That's the flagrant patronage system in this country. It's not a meritocracy. So many bright, driven people working at McDonalds, while so many incompetent and lazy morons fill the government ranks. Why? Because they show up for party events.

That's why this country will never get better."

Everything here is true except the last sentence. Today's problem doesn't preclude change. The only question is how to get there.

11 years of SNS;
Vucic: We will offer "Serbian dream" to young people

This goes along for all of Balkans and including Bulgaria and Greece.

Offer young adults opportunities to work seasonally or pair them with a host-company elsewhere. Seriously there is NOTHING here to look forward unless you have $$$.

Sincerely,

... Wait until Siemens is operational there. Imagine when they complete their works – an estimated 7,000 workers will be employed...

Actually, that actually applies to Albos in Kosova. I still have relatives in Serbia proper who are non-political people and who call the shots without fear or favour.
I talk to them regularly and they say that things have improved dramatically in Serbia over the last few years. Unemployment in Kragujevac alone became one of the worst in Serbia once Zastava was closed, but today only people that don’t want to work don’t have a job.
Wait until Siemens is operational there. Imagine when they complete their works – an estimated 7,000 workers will be employed.
I don’t like politicians but I give credit where credit is due and Vucic has done a fabulous job unlike Tadic who left Serbia in debt 72% of GDP.

I caught some of it on TV.

When they scanned the audience most people did not look very happy to be there. They even caught one woman sleeping during Vucic's speech.

For now, forget about the car and the apartment, how about a chicken in every pot.
It is those very lies that make people hate Vucic and company.
