Moderate Serb, I agree with you that Serbia is not for the EU. By all accounts and opinion polls the majority of the population do not want EU membership. Its only a few elite that are pushing for this. The EU is not the be all and end all. Look at Croatia emptying of young people. Bulgaria, Rumania and Croatia are in worse shape now than before EU membership. Their debts are huge.
As for the events in the 1990s are you advocating that Serbia just give away Kosovo, because the Albanians want it? You are ok with what Croatia did in 1995? Just roll over?

If our former and present governments had been enlightened, we would be part of the EU by now. Furthermore, our country would have been spared the 1999 NATO bombing and the lives of many soldiers that died as a result. I would think by now Serbia would have learned its lesson, however, it appears we are no better off now. Perhaps, the EU is not for us, after all, Serbia certainly sticks out like a sore thumb by lacking European values required of us in order to join the EU.

Serbia is still hunted by Milosevic's ideologies that got Serbia bombed to pieces, these ideologies are carried out by Vucic and Dacic now. It will take another 20 years for serbian people to see that these ideologies will NEVER come to fruition and by then it is going to be too late as Serbia's isolation from the world will further deepen the poverty in the country.

Its funny how politically German policy has always been to destroy Yugoslavia but continue to invest heavily into Serbia's industry and economy, far more than Croatia which is nothing more than a dumping ground for Germans.
