From Time: " I provided links on your patriarch's corruption deal with Vucic."

The link you provided was an article which stated that the government of Serbia donated money for the completion of Sveti Sava church. Please state the crime that was committed. You also said that all of Serbia's political leaders are war criminals. Be sure to list the crimes that they have committed. Otherwise, you're just a LIAR! Now, let's see if you can provide any evidence to support your wild claims. My money says you can't. You're a CLOWN!

Hey Time - If all of Serbia's leaders are war criminals, why have the international authorities set up a special court to investigate war crimes committed by the KLA of which your president and prime minister were prominent members? Please respond. Also, why has the US criticized Kosovo for implementing war criminals and others who have been accused of war crimes to governmental positions? Yet no mention is made of war criminals in the Serbian government from the US. And we all know that the US is the biggest backer of Kosovo and no friend to the Serbs. Please comment Time.

Living in denial is the only way for a serb to keep living. I provided links on your patriarch's corruption deal with Vucic. He is Vucic's political Cheerleader alright, the only thing he is missing is the pom-poms and he is good to go!
Also, you know very well that Hague criminal jails are full of serbian politicians that are sentenced to life in prison for genocide. Also, Serbia's government is made of all the politicians that worked closely with these sentenced war criminals and have their own skeletons in the closet. Please stop acting ignorant and gullible to your country's criminal history as you are wasting my time.

From Jeremiah: "Do more foreign tourists visit Belgrade because it has a large Orthodox cathedral? And: would more tourists visit Belgrade because it has a completed Orthodox cathedral? Of course not."

The correct answer is yes and yes. It is, I believe, the largest Orthodox cathedral in the world. Do people visit Italy to see the Vatican, do people visit Istanbul to visit the Sophia Sophia? I could go on and on... And the larger point if you were paying attention is the added spending by tourists on the surrounding businesses. Common sense really. But for people like you and Time who like to spin everything into a conspiracy, I guess common sense doesn't apply.

From Time: "P.S. I see you are still hurting that your patriarch was caught in some very fishy and scandalous situation."

What scandal? What laws were broken? Please be specific. If you have EVIDENCE of any wrongdoing by the Serbian government and/or the Serbian Orthodox clergy, I urge you to bring it forward to the appropriate authorities so that due process can take place. At the very least please post some verifiable evidence of the crimes you are claiming to have taken place. And while you're at it, please list the crimes that the Serbian government leadership has committed, since you claim they are all war criminals also. Do you see the pattern here Time? You paint everything and anything Serbian with a broad brush, but with no evidence to support you claims. Thus, you have rendered yourself as just another Serb-hating anonymous keyboard loudmouth with absolutely NO credibility. You are a joke!!

the industry will grow this year with minimum +6% while all other things are better than 2017
(adrian_romania_bucharest, 15 May 2019 09:18)

Adrian - how about LTO-8 drives?

Did you know that all LTO-7, LTO-8 and most LTO-6 drives are made by IBM in Hungary?

And LTO tapes have far better chances to preserve your data than disks.

I believe, the chances of an error on the LTO-8 tape are 10^78 times less, than the chance of a Romanian SIM card becoming unusable in Thailand.

Adrian,

I am a big fan of Serbian Pravoslav church interiors - but the interior of the painted mosque in Tetovo is also terrific.

An other problem are the French cathedrals and 16th century Russian frescoes.

One of the great solution to the problem is the 15mm shift lens from LaoWa.

In my humble opinion the best version of the LaoWa lens is the one with the "classic" Nikon mount because it can fit every mount.

Unfortunately once you start to apply the internal shift mechanism the exposition will be incorrect. The up-shift is tough - but the down-shift is straight horrible.

The reason is that the mirror is in your way. Therefore the best solution is to have a better mirrorless body.

My big problem is that I just can't chose: should be it Sony, Nikon or Canon?

My 17mm tilt-shift is from Canon, my 15mm shift is for Nikon.

Tough choice.

As I stated in an earlier post, the fact that the Serbian diocese accepts a donation to help in the completion of the Sveti Sava Church is not a crime. In fact, it is good business and no different from a stadium that is built in a major US city that is funded in part by whatever municipality (taxpayer money) it resides in. Tourism will follow and it will generate a great deal of money for the surrounding businesses in Belgrade. (njegos, 15 May 2019 15:57)

It looks like people in Serbia have a very high tolerance to corruption and can't see things for what they are anymore. It doesn't matter what he did with the money, it matters that he was bribed (corrupted) to change his political tune based on the donations he has received from Vucic. INTEGRITY is the CORE principle of any person and here you have a religous person (Irinej) that supposedly is being kept to a much higher standard show that he has no integrity and changed his tune as soon as he has filled his pockets with money. He could have fed the hungry with that money and it would still have looked bad for him.

This is how things unfolded ...

1. Irinej was criticizing Vucic
2. Vucic decides to bribe him with a donation
3. Irinej accepts the donation and changes his political view a 100%, he doesn't criticize Vucic anymore but he praises him.

This is a bribe (corrupt) transaction regardless of how much you like to sugarcoat it.

P.S. This church has not received any donations in decades so Serbia's government wasn't too interested in the tourism profits that you are talking about at all.

we had horrible grow in industry only +1,5% Hungary and Poland had +8% link eurostat https://ec.europa.eu/eurostat/documents/2995521/9780987/4-14052019-AP-EN.pdf/b1e6a890-6429-44b0-bbb7-9caa9620317f

as for the whole year the gdp is expected to grow with 7%-8% because the industry will recover 100% + the consumption will grow due the fact in september are big grow in salaries and pensions

Hungary Poland and even Croatia except the industry grow from first quater they are dead at about +3% this year Croatia even under 3%

2019 can be for Romania better than 2017 +7% because the industry will grow this year with minimum +6% while all other things are better than 2017 . Consumption was impressive totaly over expectations in condition of no indexactions in salaries and pensions in first 3 months

I think IMF and WORLD BANK were on big horses when they saw Romania industry 1,5% and Hungary and Poland +8% . Romania is the most hated country by West and East and Balkan from Europe

Hey Time: I see you're really reaching with the article you posted. Your implication was that the Patriarch was enriching himself with bribe money from Vucic and the Serbian government. Please tell me what is wrong with the state donating money to St. Sava church which is one of the most visited tourist attractions in Belgrade? The church's façade is complete, but the interior is several years and several millions of dollars away from completion. I've been there, have you? So the Serbian government's donation to the church is no different than a government giving a business a tax break or contributing money to build a venue that will be visited by tourists. Ultimately, the completion of the church will attract millions of tourists which is good for the surrounding businesses in Belgrade. Your attempt to spin this gesture as some form of bribe is both comical and shameful. I do understand your frustration however, as the Albanians in Pristina have no such structure that can even compare to Sveti Sava.

At the very least please post some verifiable evidence of the crimes you are claiming to have taken place.

After the 99 NATO war, I told my Yugoslav supporters and NATO supporters that Kosovo in the future will be returned to Serbia and be given autonomy like vojvodina. Serbia is no longer socialists, it's privatising and implementing capitalism reforms. EU and USA will agree as Serbia has proven results and are far easier to negotiate with. Kosovo is corrupt like Albania. If milosevic did this after Bosnian war, 99 airstrikes would never happened. Russia was too weak and China was starting to emerge. USA was at its peak and had their allies on a tight leash. That's all changing now.

The patriarch is not only supporting a politician (which is completely wrong, in and of itself) but a politician who appointed a lesbian Prime Minister. This is apostasy. The patriarch should be expelled from the church. But again the Orthodox state church is not actually a biblical institution, so they should be left alone in their own strange religiosity.

Hey Time, your Serb-hating rhetoric has reached a new level. Please provide some evidence that Irinej is 'corrupt to the none' as you say. So again, I ask if you are going to accuse someone of corruption, please provide evidence and not your Serb-hating rhetoric that is baseless...as usual. If you really were concerned with the separation of church and state, why don't you comment on the appalling initiative of the Croatian Catholic Church trying to canonize Stepanic? There is a mountain of evidence that demonstrates he was in lockstep with the Ustasha government's policy of exterminating Serbs. Please comment Time.

Sorry to break it to you but your Otac Irinej is corrupt to the bone. Why would a religious person put his nose in politics and want to control the minds of the masses? There is a very good reason why in any democratic country the religion is always kept out of the politics. People should think independently and not follow a "religious" person who has their hands in government's deep pockets. But I guess we are talking about Serbia here and that is completely "normal" there to have a religious person brainwash people all in the name of "religion".

Do more foreign tourists visit Belgrade because it has a large Orthodox cathedral? And: would more tourists visit Belgrade because it has a completed Orthodox cathedral? Of course not. Yes, tourists often visit the cathedral during the stay in Belgrade. But very few are drawn by the cathedral itself. Therefore, your reasoning on this matter is not sound or convincing.

The real question regarding the large donations is timing and motivation.
