Rep. Serbia has been officially candidate for EU already for a few years.
And they do not, I repeat do not have to be a member of NATO.Rep Serbia Army is doing regular training with NATO minimum requirement.
But 85% of citizens are against joining EU and NATO.To be honest they do not care.
All they care is to have 10kg of meat, bread on the table, nice wine.
And to celebrate Slava. Children, grandchildren to do well.
It's only in your head. You think Serbs are after the milking cow - EU.

No one just EU, and me.
I saw a report where EU had a meeting and decided against enlargement ( in 2025) only last week meeting was held.

Before even being considered for membership in the EU, Serbia must first join NATO, if the US lets them. I’m sure this has already been made clear to Vucic and company, Serbia is playing hard to get for its citizens, but the West knows very well that Serbia has no choice but to jump through the hoops of the US.

How are you going to join EU. First Croatia, Slovenia, Kosova, Montenegro, Macedonia and other have to say you can. Serbia has a lot of answering to do, from borders, war crimes, war damages and other issues. I have to write a lot. Maybe opposition will go to power in Serbia and open the door to EU.

Serbia will never be able to join the EU. The EU's plan is to get the other Balkan countries in EU and as far as Serbia goes they know that Serbia has a very criminal past that can't be undone to qualify them to join the EU. Serbia can chase Russia and latch on to them but I don't think Russia has much use for Serbia once the other Balkan countries are part of EU. I think this is Vucic's dilemma as he knows he can't join the EU and also knows that Russia's interests in Serbia will greatly diminish once Kosova and Macedonia make it to EU.

Not very bright lad. Croatia tried that trick very early in the piece and would not sign for negotiations to start with Serbia to join the EU until the Germans told them to sign at which point the Croats looked stupid beyond imagination.
These countries have NO say at all plus Kosova is a beggar region since it lives off EU money - its Germany that run the EU.
