that's a lie to say member of the ROSU are Serbs, the few Serbian ethnics in the Kosovo police are in the normal forces ONLY stationed in the north of the Ibar River with very few minor exceptions in some monasteries. There is for example not a single Serbian ethnic police officer in Prizren... so those policeman were Albanians.

As far as I know Kosovo was never Albanian. It was never recognised by the international community as Albanian. So how you can compare Ireland and Kosovo is a mystery to me.
You could have similarities if a part of England was heavily populated by Irish and these Irish wanted independence from England. In such a case those Irish would be sorted out very quickly indeed.

You must be blind. There are few serbs tantrum-ing in the streets and the police is there to not let the situation escalate. I see no serbs being mistreated or injured. You could only wish Serbia's police treated their people this gently. If Milloshevich would have given Bondsteel to USA and give back Kosovo's autonomy,today Kosovo would have been part of Serbia and Serbia would have been full member of EU even before Croatia.
Furthermore Serbia would have had full support from EU and USA.

Dardania.....no Ireland is a specific case. Northern Ireland has a Protestant majority who always vote to stay in the union with Britain. The Catholoic minority want to join with the rep. of Ireland. Its a real problem that has cost us taxpayers a fortune. Not only that but we wish we never went there.
As for Kosovo I can not recall it ever being recognised as being Albanian by the world. I know Serbia has a lot of history there going back many hundreds of years. Are then not 1000 year old orthodox churches/monasteries.
So no, its not a similar scenario as N Ireland. Northern Ireland was recognised as being a part of Ireland by the world until we went in. Kosovo was never recognised as Albanian. Believe me I know the history of Ireland and N Ireland.
