Too bad we will never be able to unite around him.
(DEDA CVETKO, 17 April 2019 06:28)
=======================
We don't have to unite around ANYONE. We should unite around Serbia and Serbs everywhere.
Politics aside, we have to get rid of our own internal traitors like Kandic. We have to get rid of NGOs which receive Soros' money even if it looks undemocratic because we can't ever be united while we have our own fifth column active.
Some people are not ready for full democracy because they've been under dictatorship for too long.
Democracy is not having the right to treason so instead of looking at Vucic as someone we cannot unite around if he's doing what is needed for Serbia we should accept his message.

There is no single country in the world 100% united.
And thank God for that.
But I agree Rep Serbia could be a little bit MORE united
especially now.

Vucic should in his fight against so called fascists first give back many streets the traditional names of fighters against the Nazi occupations, re establish monuments for the anti fascist fight and establish a monument and museum for the deported Jews at the former concentration camp downtown Belgrade. And Vucic should stop with his rulership over courts the terrible cases from Serb Hitler followers claiming for rehabilitation and property. Unthinkable in Western Europe.

DEDA CVETKO

Finally something I can agree on with our Beloved Fearless Eternal Leader.

Too bad we will never be able to unite around him.

Whether you approve or disapprove of Vucic, the message is spot on. It's time the Serbs came together for once in their history and worked as one. Nobody has been more fragmented than the Serbs and it has cost us dearly. WW2 especially was a disaster for us.

Guys I agree with your comments. The MSM in the West is heavily influenced by the liberal establishment. Take Brexit for example. Everything possible was done to undermine and frustrate the result. The entire State apparatus pushed for a remain outcome with the most outlandish project fear campaign ever devised and yet they still lost. And so they've done everything in their power to overturn the democratic will of the people. Democracy? I don't think so. I agree, Serbia desperately needs stability and investment. But if the media is used to smear and discredit any opposition at the behest of the State, then that can't be healthy for the country. I want Serbia to grow and develop and be a good place for people to live. I hope that happens soon.

A healthy democracy requires credible opposition party's, a free press, an impartial police force and judiciary and a system willing to tackle corruption and nepotism. Branding the opposition as traitors and fascists is the language of the autocrat. The insults used by tin pot dictators such as Erdogan. Unity is all good and well, but if ordinary hard up people don't have a job or a voice then there's something very wrong with government. Calls for national unity isn't a solution. (PEN, 16 April 2019 11:59)

though I can't disagree with your hypothetical stance PEN, this democracy you speak of no longer exists.
was it not hillary and her band of merry democrats who have painted donald trump as a traitor, a colludor with russia. the report has returned with nothing that can be pinned to him, yet we all forgot how the free press disappeared the tales of how she cheated her way to the finals, knocking bernie off the stoop by using her deep connections. so we have one party slandering another and the media being bought and sold by on (lets be honest both) party(ies)

and lest not forget the homeless cities scattered through out the warmer states. some housing as many as 100,000 homeless americans. this is considered the wealthiest nation, yet it cannot fix the problems of homelessness and joblessness.

so in principle you're correct, but america, the bastion of democracy, does not fit your criteria. where does that leave the rest?

Well its good that everybody has a internationally recognized passport here then, and permission from who?

What do you think would happen:

KFOR stopping a very dangerously large amount of cevappi for a bbq?

OR

KFOR stopping the albanians for trying to hurt people who are enjoying a nice amount of quality time? Especially when the albanians are allowed to join in if they behave?

It's time for Vucic and the ruling party to stop threatening and firebombing the homes of professional journalists who have the audacity to report endemic corruption in the county.

"healthy democracy requires credible opposition party's" - and there is the rub there is nothing credible about this opposition coalesced as SzS! That's hardly Vucic's fault they are a useless bunch of self serving nothing's. True much remains to be said of SNS though they have the popular vote and thus must be doing something to convince the masses.

" a free press"

- what like the MSM free press in west ? Nope there us no free press and never existed one needs to read Orwell's comment on the self censureship that he highlighted nearly 100 years ago! Its a false herring of west to batter others!

"an impartial police force and judiciary and a system willing to tackle corruption and nepotism"

Would be great but human nature dooms us to the oft said English term " its who you know rather than what you know".

What keeps Vucic in place is the lack of a decent and true opposition - perhaps then we would move Serbia forward in the real sense of progression!

For now Vucic is steering a good course just not quite the solid momentum to really make things much better, though I do give him benefit of the doubt.

So I guess on friday SNS brings buses of people who depend on beeing nice to them so they do not lose their jobs.

Did not Vucic say, he does not care how much people go to the streets and now he organises another demonstration on the street? Let us see if he brings the magic 5 millions to the streets.

Vucic showed already in the 90s that he does not care about serbs.

All political parties aside, he is right.

We should unite and create a national day where we all go to kosovo i metohija:

Let me propose: National Rostilica Day: mi smo srbi.

On this day we all take a day to go to kosovo i metohija and show them who we are instead of the people who they portray us to be.

Fill the air with the smell of great food, so great that even hashim says 'hvala ti bog for the serbs' even if its under his breath.

Make them hear our laughter, singing and ofcourse arguining all across the balkans.

Support the local Serbs by renting a room and the Serbian grandmothers on the market by buying their produce. Let even the albanians join in as long as they are polite, show them our hospitality as long as they dont take advantage.

Show our best side to the world as to who we are, people that love to live life.

Ps: on this day make no problems that they can use against all of us, but if you can not stop yourself then i have a little idea:

Tie a pleskavica to a balloon so it travels all the way to hashim's house with a little card with it 'Enjoy my little gift, you will need it. Losing take's alot of energy''.
