This has been going on for years. I have Serbian and Albanian friends alike and when talking with them one on one, they understand two things. 1. Kosovo as it is now, will never be a recognized state with the current boundaries. 2. Whole of Kosovo will not be under Serbian rule again.

Those two options are out of the question and the ones that think different, will either be very disappointed OR are not so very smart. Also, some people from the two ethnicities who lives abroad, often says Kosovo is Serbia or Kosova will be independent depending which side. None of this will happen.

So, how to proceed. Well, even if Thaci is not a brain surgeon, he has understood this. It matters not what one wish, think, threathens, prey, believe or demands. Reality matters a lot.

This will take time and I dont have any quick fix for it. What I do have is some knowledge what has been discussed about splitting Kosovo. I believe this will be how it ends up.
The thing is that if the albanians dont start to come up with some ideas, someone else will do it for you. Your politicians are busy to earn as much money as possible before the people realize that the politicians have promised all to much that they can not pay.

Kosova does not have the same level of democracy/political sophistication as the US.
Thaci might have held office, but was not in power all the time. Do you want to compare it with Dacic or Putin?

View, and ironically, out of the $23 Trillion total debt, $1.2 is to China. With China's push into Europe and Africa, I would assume they will overtake the US in reasonable time. Everything I've read here in the US states that the taxes and sanctions aren't working like the US anticipated to hammer out a new trade deal - basically a blip to China's economy.
