These two cases are not comparable. Catalonia is more comparable with Slovenia in Yugoslavia.

No, they are not comparable. Catalonia has a stronger case for independence than Kosovo. But none of them can become independent under international law.

Only by violating international law can any of them become independent. But I guess the kosovar albanians don't care if an independent Kosovo is born out of a crime. They are used to crime.
